Hello. My name is Matteo, from Italy.
I'm 17 and I play game since i was a child. I started with Wolfenstein 3d on my tiny 386 (my first pc, got from my father who worked in an it company) when i was just five.
Then i become a great (fps first, strategy games later) pc games addict.
Subsequentely i bought some Nintendo consoles to try another type of videogaming.
In the last years I opened an italian Nintendo fansite, Nintendoring (http://www.nintedoring.net).
I don't play very much now, but I love crazy and "different" games or games that success to attract my attention for more than half an hour (and it's a very difficult thing XD).
I love also a lot the old, 2d, paradox grand strategy games and, obiouvsly, all Good Old Games.

Hey, Im Wobble. ive been playing games on computers since my old apple II and such. my first PC was a 386 SX 16mhz which was upgraded to have 4 megs of ram. although i play console games i still primarily prefer my games on a PC. the first CD rom based game i bought was sam and max hit the road. that game is still amazing. other great dos games were jazz jackrabbit, tyrian, tie fighter etc. anyway my love for older games and retro gaming led me to this site and im very pleased to be in the beta.
Hello,
My name is Espen and I'm from Norway.
I'm here to chew bubblegum and buy awesome games, and I'm all out of bubblegum ;)
Hail to the Holy Vault Dweller
.... I'll go back to playing Fallout 2 now :)
Greetings...
I hit PC gaming during the golden year of 2002, and was blessed with the holy trio of Dungeon Siege, Neverwinter Nights, and WarCraft III. I've owned consoles off and on, but PC will always be my platform of choice.
I don't remember where I first heard about GOG, but this, combined with sevices like Steam are making things even better for us. There are so many cool new games, but it's great to have access to such a fantastic backcatalog as well. I've always heard about Fallout, Descent, and Freespace, but figured these gems were out of reach.
...but here they are. Nice.
Hello everyone.
My name's Lukasz and I come from Poland. I'm currently a student. My favourite games are cRPG and RTS but I also like other generes. I don't like to write about myself. :)

Hey all.
I've been told my introductions sound like something from a dating service, so I'll keep it brief. Female, 19, England, shameless game adict for most game genres.. That wasn't so bad. :)
Just for the sake of it, I'll throw in a little more. I've only been gaming steadily since about 1998, before that, I had to go to friend's houses to play, and my pc gaming was limited to solitare. I spent most of the first years of consoles, and games only really became a main hobby of mine after Knights of the Old Republic, which was my 'first love', which dragged me away from the consoles to the PC to play older RPGs - but I still use both regularly.
Looking forward to the chance to spend time (and money) here for a god while to come. So, hope I see you all around. :D
My name's Daniel, I'm 31, I live in London. I've been gaming since my older brother got a Commodore PET when I was about four years old. He wrote a Scramble clone called Cave Run and I remember another game called Car Race that I couldn't get enough of. I can remember how particular games sound when loading from cassette on our Commodore 64 the same way you remember particular albums. Grew up with Commodore machines (how I miss my Amiga... saddo) but graduated to the PC when I went to college.
Still love gaming today, when I get time for it...
Hi there. I'm Matt. I've been playing games since I was a kid, but because I never had a lot of money, a lot of the classics were lost to me. Trying to play them now has become a small obsession of mine (I'm also a member of Gametap). Not having to rely on discs or mods to play these great games was what got me hooked on this service. Anyway, I hope to be a contributing member of this forum very soon.
Hi y'all. Another Matt here. 25 years old and looking for ways to play my favourite games on my current system, as I don't have a 468 lying around any more (stupid motherboard went all fritzy. :( ). Most current games really don't interest me at all, and I'm always finding myself playing the old stuff.
Right now I'm playing X-Wing and TIE Fighter (glad for this Win96 CD Edition).
A few months ago it was Wing Commander 1 and 2 (as much as DosBOX would let me. While my PC is new-ish, it's too slow to ger DosBOX to run with "large" games).
So I hope for some major money-draining action here. :)
I'm JC from Puerto Rico. I'm a next/current gen gamer, but I always love to go back and play older games. Right now I'm mostly re-playing PS1 games, and getting around to those I never played.
I love this site so far, but I haven't seen any games that have "clicked" with me yet. I love RPG, Adventure, Action, whatever as long as it's fun, so feel free to recommend! I'm thinking of trying out Fallout, but I don't know if it's my type of game.
Hi.
I am Pawel. I am old time games player. I hate current games. There is no much fun than old games can give us. Welcome to everybody. Hope you enjoy this site as much as me.

Hi! My name's Nick, currently living in Tampa, FL. Still in college, so I'm kinda in between the "young" and the "old". I love Descent & Fallout, but really enjoyed Rock Band and Bioshock. I just like good games, regardless of when they were made. I joined here so I could play those old ones again, though. :)
I'm Simon, and I've always been into quirky video games, game with astounding design rather than popular plots or cliches. Through the years, I've never been quite sure what I've wanted to do, and I ended up experimenting with web animation, music composition, video production. Today I work as a 3D animator with TT Fusion, a subsidary of TT Games, and so far I've been a part of LEGO Indiana Jones and the Guinness World Records video game.
Right now, I'm loving Braid and Castle Crashers for Xbox 360. Although I'm really dissapointed with Spore, I'm madly looking forward to Littlebigplanet, and its potential to change the way computer games are approached (Its not nessesarily the user generated content I'm excited about... but the seamless and easy way anybody can publish, and share the content)! I keep finding myself coming back to Burnout Paradise also, its swell for killing some time =D
I signed up for this beta months ago and, I confess, completely forgot about it. However, by a complete stroke of serendipity I got the e-mail about the early access the same day I watched "Zero Originality" (a bashing of Gamestop and its policies by a former employee) and had begun to look for other game distribution methods.
I am also starting up a tech blog, http://www.allgeektout.com, which is the origin of my username. The launch is tomorrow, and it will include coverage of GOG, among other things.
ok...well, I started playing games on the ATARI 2600......yeah I know, I'm dating myself. My faves' are still racing and FPS games. If you couldnt guess by my name, I am into the whole midieval time period.
I was also an avid player of AD&D in the 80's. Belonged to a gaming club that met once a month. Then came Battletech.....
Anyway, I live close to Chicago, Il. Close enough that on a clear day from my backyard you can see the Sears Tower. Even though I am 20 miles away from it........hhhhmmmmm, I cant think of anything else to say right now escept LETS PLAY SOME GAMES!!!!!
