I suppose it's high past time I introduce myself. So hi. :)

Been here since the beginning; plan to stay til the end (which is hopefully a very, very long time from now).
Registered with GOG October last year, name is Iain spelt the right way (Scottish Way!). Member of quite a few other forums on the net but the main one I use is HEXUS where I am a board Administrator known as Ferral.

Joined GOG in the first place to start replacing some of my old disc games for DRM free versions that dont require hunting out patches!
Greetings,

I take pleasure in gaming so I joined this site.
Peace
Hello everyone, I'm Lolo (or Lauren, if you prefer). I'm 19 and I'm from sunny Scotland, haha.

I'm pretty new to GOG. I'd heard about it before, but I'd never had a proper look or made a purchase until yesterday when I saw Little Big Adventure 2 and I just had to have it. Definitely one of my favourite games from when I was younger and I was tearing up and getting all nostalgic listening to the soundtrack whilst I waited for it to download XD

Anyways, I mainly come to GOG for games I played when I was younger, and games I still have but can't get to run successfully... Also, damn you for adding in extra goodies, as now I want to buy my already owned games again just to get the goodies :<
Hi,

I just joined. I'm a German living in the Netherlands. I love classic games, especially adventures and turn based strategy. But from time to time also also enjoy some newer ones as well.
Great to find a place where I can get many of the great games from my childhood legally and DRM free!
Hi, my name is Matt. I joined around about December. I'm a Restaurant Manager and I make films such as this
Hi, I am known as SoanoS on the Internet, and I am from Finland.

I have reached 34 years of age and I miss the old games a lot.
I registered in September 2009, and have been reliving my youth with the Good Old Games ever since. Playing all those games again warms my heart and reminds me of the golden era of computer games when everything was so simple and beautiful and there was no such thing as DRM or DLC.

My other systems, in addition to the PC include (all functional, no emulation involved):
Commodore 64
COmmodore 128
Amiga 500
Amiga 1200 (4G Flash HDD)
XBox (The fugly one)
PS2
Nintendo DS

So yeah. I am a retro gamer, with some newer gaming systems.
Fun reading my intro post from 4 years ago.
Hello everyone, I've been a member for a while, but I thought I might start posting on the forums some.
What a shame when i still don't post in this thread until i join community 1 and a half year ago xD.
I'm still a college student. Love GOG community because very friendly people and it's nice when know many men still love old games. And the last, funny when see countries all of you living
Hey there peoples! Names Slade, I've been a gamer for as long as I could hold a controller. In any case, growing up I had a lot of friends into gaming but never could get into myself until my later years, hence now. I missed a lot of good PC games simply because I didn't have a computer that could run them. Of course now that's changed, and now I'm trying to find all those I never got the chance to play that looked awesome.

Aside from that I also play on my X-box 360, for the modern stuff. Personally I'm a shooter fan when it comes to consoles, if I had a nice(er) computer then I'd likely be playing on that instead, but I digress. Anyway, I also enjoy comics, D&D, Pathfinder, and a variety of other Geeky things to which I could likely talk your ear off about.

Anywho, I think that's a long enough introduction. Looking forward to poking about the place and seeing what I can get into.

Cy'all later. :)
Hey everyone! Newbie here! I joined because I love old school gaming. I can't wait to play games like Blood and the juvenile, but hilarious Redneck Rampage. I'm currently in college. In my free time I like to watch favorite television shows and movies, listen to classic rock, read, and of course play video games. I'm looking forward to exploring this site!
I joined 6 days ago after reading the interview on the DOSBox website. I currently live in Memphis, Tennessee. I'm a professional software engineer and have been programming for 20 years now. I started PC gaming in the late 80s, early 90s and still have almost my entire collection of games from the time. Hell, gaming is what got me started programming.

I haven't written many games during my career thus far, but I do run a site called Classic Gaming Arena which is dedicated to old school DOS network gaming using DOSBOx and the client I wrote. I also wrote a dedicated server based on the server code within DOSBox so players can host their own servers and have them registered on the site for all to use. I currently have 54 games supported and have updated the site and client to handle games from GOG.com. Check out my GOGMix "Games Compatible with CGA (Classic Gaming Arena)" for the games I have already configured and tested. I'll be adding more as time goes on, but if your game is not in the GOG.com list they can be configured manually until then.

So, I'm glad to be here and look forward to being part of the GOG.com community. I also hope to see some of you around the CGA site as well. It's not officially live yet, but is functional. I'll also be working on an updated version of the client and server here soon which is going to have integrated audio chat using TeamSpeak.

You have to install the client then create an account at the CGA site. Then setup which games you have on the site. After that you can create or join game rooms for the games you have. That's pretty much it. If you need more help feel free to PM me.
