Hi,
My name is Piotr and I'm from Poland. Games have been always part of my life. It started with a Pong a-like clone console long time ago. Then it was Atari (don't remember which model), C64, Amiga and then a PC :)
As you can see looking at my avatar, I am a huge fan of Bullfrog (or rather Peter Molyneux) games.
Currently I'm working as a programmer, but It's still really nice to play some good games once a while.
Thanks GOG for everything, I'm looking forward to see more classics to buy.
Regards,
Piotr
Hey folks. My name's Tom and I've been waiting for a site like this for a long time.
Yo.
I've been a gamer since I was a young boy and I'm 23 years old at this moment in time. I grew up on the NES and SNES and eventually found myself addicted to my first PC game in Starcraft. Blizzard would later own most of my PC gaming life, without World of Warcraft I might add, because I had played Warcraft II before that, and eventually played Diablo, Diablo II and Warcraft III. Two of those I might add I probably spent at least a thousand (probably a lot more) hours playing and a couple hundred on another. As you can see, my PC gaming life is all about addiction (add Counter-Strike, Priston Tale and Team Fortress 2 to the hundred/thousand hour club) so I doubt any of these older PC games will do much for me. I did pick up Fallout 1 & 2 because of the B1G1 free deal and I should give it some playtime.
I have a lot of love for the way I can save these games on a disc and always be able to play them though so I love how GoG.com is run.
Hi thar!
Mads here, 21 year old male from Norway. I game a lot, and I luckily got a girlfriend who is just as much a gamer as I am (we are both waiting eagerly for Spore to arrive in the mail). Started playing around... 94-95 methinks? Doom of course, then things just went all over the place. Being a Norwegian kid I had no idea what I was doing, as most games was in English. But due to me gaming so much, I think I learned English faster than most, and I am proud to say it is a true second language for me now.
Some of my best memories from the "good old days" are of course Doom, Descent and Freespace, Fallout, MDK, and several obscure titles I barely remember. I once bought Messiah, only finding out it didn't work properly on my computer. I also tried a demo of Sacrifice once, thinking it was awesome. So guess what I bought first :P
Since I think the Fallout games are the best games ever (that does not include Tactics btw) I already have those games. But because of the price here, and added benefits (workd on XP etc) I might just buy them sometime. This site really rocks.
Looking forward to more classics I have forgotten. I am already considering buying a lot more games here. But I really don't have time to play all of them.
I am also a console gamer btw, owning a Xbox 360 and a Wii. Don't care much for Playstation.
Hi Everyone!
I'm Kilencnád (means Ninereeds) from Hungary, Törökbálint. I'm addicted to games since I was 5, started with a C64 at 1990. Since then I had PC-s and game consoles either. My favorite old games are Doom (not the 3.), Starcraft, Fallout, Oddworld, MDK, Freespace, Carmageddon, Metroid series and many more that I can't remember right now :P
I also have a husband, who is game-addicted too.
Hi All :)
I hail from Christchurch New Zealand.
Have been playing games since pong, pac man etc in arcades and onwards through atari 2600 up to present consoles and PC.
Have been also using mame for my galaga fix etc and wanted to play some of the old pc games.
So was really happy to find this site and sign up for the beta entrance (I think firingsquad was the site that told me about GOG) and now looking forward to buying some games.
So yeah nice to be here and thanks!
:)
Greetings from country of Santa Claus, land of hundred thousand lakes! :)
I have always loved older games, mainly because my computers never has been cutting edge technology. When being student and not having any steady income, I was forced to use old machinery and dig games for myself from sale buckets, hoping to see some of those great games everyone had been talking when it was new. That way I collected quite nice amount of games in cheap prices. It was much nicer to buy few games for 1-10€ instead of buying one brand new for 50-70€.
I also never have had time to really sit down and spend days and nights just playing, so most of the games I have I never have played to very end, and if played to end, just once. That also doesn't make me buy so much brand new overpriced games :)
My gaming taste is wide, but mostly strategy games, rpg's, actions. In that order :) I don't get much from adventure games, even though tried playing some of those. Just not my thing. If game has online possibility, it is big bonus :) Also great bonus if it can be played with just one friend, and if on same computer.
I have gathered quite many free games which have server/client online gaming, and set up servers for those. Some have quite steady player base, ensuring that there is company when you need it :)
Last few personal things, I'm sure those might interest most of people :P I'm born 1984, January. I love winter ;) I have girlfriend, and we have just bought own home and moved in few weeks ago. Plenty of room here, 5 rooms + kitchen + utility room + fire room + sauna, and nice own yard with some apple tree and few berry bushes. :) No kids yet, and hopefully not in few years, but they are sure coming.
What else... oh, I'm from Finland, if you didn't get it from my greeting line ;) For rest, don't hesitate to ask me. It can be either more info about me, questions about my servers (if you want to come play) or suggestions for good games/looking for game company on some other games :)
Hi, I'm grinbuster from Germany.
I started gaming over 25 years ago, when I first got an Atari 2600. It was a blast. After that I got a C64 and after that it was Amiga time. I started PC gaming around 1990 with a 486DX. I never got into Console gaming until the reasent generation. Now I enyoy playing on my big screen TV the 360, Wii and PS3.
But I always have the fond memory of playing the classic ganmes on PC, like the old LucasArts adventures, the Sierra ones or later FPS games like the, in Germany banned, Doom or Unreal and, of course, Half-Life, the original one.
I think this place is great, to racall all the great memories from the past, and playing some games, one might have missed.
I purchased the original FallOut games, because I missed them when they were the first time around and I have a lot of fun with them. I am excited what will show up here in the future.
So, happy gaming to everyone and greetings from Germany.
Hello all, I've been hoping a website would pop up like this eventually. Being 30 and an avid gamer means I update my computer alot, and that means alot of older games I can't play.
Here's to many years of a great website!
ps. I told my TF2 clan about this site and several of them have since signed up for the beta. There are alot of people out there that were looking for something like this.

Hi!
I'm d, as U can see. And I'm from Poland.
Games? I like to play it, I like to read about it, I like to talk about it. I love drowning in game's world and becoming a character I'm playing but sometimes I also need to turn a game on for a 5 or 15 minutes just to relax. That doesn't mean that the 15-minutes game can be a shitty one - and that's why I appreciate the purpose of this site.
Keep on playin'

Hey everyone. My name's Max, and im from England. I started gaming quite young, and have been addicted ever since. When I was around that age, I was just playing whatever was new really. Fortunately, I had 3 older brothers to show me the worth of classic games, and that graphics are'nt everything. I am a huge fan of old adventure games, my favourites probably being Monkey Island, Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. Also, Fallout and Fallout 2 are some of my most loved games. And my one proud gaming achievement is that I beat the last boss of Secret of Mana with every character at half their intended level (i didnt know this at the time, i just thought it was a near impossible boss :D)
Hello there!
My name is Bård, I'm 13 years old and from Norway. (I think I'm the youngest fella in here!)
I first started playing games when I was about three years old on my grandpa's Amiga and grandma's DOS PC. Played loads and loads of Retaliator F29, and I still remember how happy I were when my uncle were around to boot Doom II for me.
I continued playing games when my dad got a Win98 Dell, where I mainly played strategy games and had a great great time. Back in '03 I got meself an XBOX with KOTOR, which I played the shit out of. (I think I have completed both KOTOR games about 15 times all added together)
At the moment I just started a new school, focusing mainly on maths, French and biology.
I also play the bass in a still unnamed band with some of my best friends.
I'm also the tabletop-gamer guy, and I play Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons or Warhammer Fantasy alongside other strange tabletop RPGs every Saturday.
I'm no stranger to LARP either!
Ok, so my name is Milan, 28 years old gamer from Croatia, started early, back in the 80 s. I love the idea of legaly downloading and owning oldies.
Today, I mostly play COD2 MP and replaying Planscape, Arcanum, Fallout 1& 2, DeusEx etc. :)).
So a big HELLOU to all the gamers here!!!!
