nijuu: Weird question.
Are desura and steam keys generated for IGS linked in anyway shape or form?.Gnomoria is the game in question
Reason is ask, is ive added this game to desura, and it tells me i need to activate the steam key before i can launch the game in desura.... is this usually the case?. Several other games i checked on desura seemed to want the same thing (if there is a steamkey available for it - that i have). not all of them though.only certain ones. Is this something new?.
I had bought the IR bundle that included Serious Sam 3 and the steam key I was given for it is listed as a CD Key in the Desura page that includes all the CD Keys for your owned games. I don't know about IGS, though. Are desura and steam keys generated for IGS linked in anyway shape or form?.Gnomoria is the game in question

EDIT: I just realized that I had given away this particular Steam key, since I had already bought the Serious Sam Pack. So I thought I should check if that is a problem. I launched Desura and chose to install the game, which launched the Steam client and its installer for SS3 without a problem.
So if the Desura game requires activation on Steam, you must of course own the game on Steam in order to play it on Desura, but my guess is that the Desura key is not linked to the Steam key (since you don't need to activate that specific steam key).
