If the sound of opening doors and containers was altered to be less annoying is because of my and my email to support! :D

I dont mind the container sounds personally but Ville has in the past been open to all critisism and feedback,
Hell yeah, good news! Can't wait...
oo secret of evermore you and your trusty sidekick dog,, that game brings back a lot of memory,
btw is it just me or driftmoon is way too vertical, it feels like i will fall through the monitor into the game
It's called 'immersion' ;p

It's already been altered in the game! Thanks for the good idea, keeveek! You'll hear the new sound when we open the final beta (the one that our beta testers are currently playing!).

djranis (& lowyhong):
Wow, we must have really nailed the immersion side of Driftmoon then. I sure hope you feel as immersed as now when you play a bit further. ;)

iippo: If our game dev -intern Lauri's cap is working such magic, we better start posting more pictures of people wearing all sorts of hats. I don't know though - is it fair to use an add campaign as effective as that?

Ps. I'm not naming anybody, but a few days ago we did discover a new Driftmoon beta tester who's also quite active on Gog. :)
That was a joke, but it's really cool you hear to feedback even in such small things like that.

I wish you good luck with that game and I hope to see it soon on GOG.com too.
A little bump for this as the groupees bundle now includes an extended demo of the game
A bump from me too, since the game is now at version 0.981 and is apparently now playable from start to finish \o/ Sadly there seems to be a glitch at the moment (though Anne said they're aware of it and working to fix) that causes merchants to be greedy buggers - only paying 1GP for items.

.... and I'm still playing it nonetheless! :P Love the game, hopefully it succeeds in the Greenlight campaign and perhaps even gets onto GOG too :)
Can't imagine playing a game with this sort of camera angle.

While its a personal taste, I wasnt convinced until I actually played the game, then I found it OK pretty quickly.

I was unsure about that at first too, but it's not that bad and it actually works in that game.
For those with pre-order and demo, the release candidate is finished -

So the game is as good as complete!

You're right Amok, everything is in place - and Driftmoon is fully playable from start to finish! We've also recently added some new archery skills (as well as the four other new skills we added about a month ago), which are available in the current release candidate. I hope you like them!

These past few days, we've been working on a special mystery feature of our engine, which will be ready soon - and which will at the same time considerably add to the flexibility of our editor. I won't reveal it just yet, but I think many of you will think it's a good addition to Driftmoon. Who knows, maybe someone will guess what I'm talking about...

If you haven't taken a look at Driftmoon for a while (or ever :P), we've also updated the screenshot selection at our website, and the ancient ones have finally been thrown away. I'm afraid you can't quite uncover the new feature I was talking about from these screenshots - but I can say it is a feature which would be easy to show in a screenshot. ;)

By the way, we'd still be happy to receive any feedback you may have, so please don't hesitate to reply here, or press the letter "F" while playing Driftmoon, and tell us what's on your mind.

I'm surprised that there are so few voted for this on the wishlist. I've been keeping any eye on this and Antharion for a while.

Looking forward to the final release
