Engineering a productive future.

Rise of Industry is now available at 15% off until February 16, 3PM UTC.
There is no force in the universe more interested in pushing the world forward than the industrialist. In this upcoming tycoon game, you become that force. Raising factories, setting up trade routes, researching new technologies or arranging transport for your raw materials is how you will expand your early 20th-century empire in this unpredictable, procedurally-generated world.

Note: This game is currently in development. See the FAQ to learn more about games in development, and check out the forums to find more information and to stay in touch with the community.

Konrad: My favorite part is how there is an analogy to forces of nature, but then, it's like – woah, no, it's actually about industry (which is not very much about nature fyi). What's yours?

MechanicalArm: WHAT? A BLUE replied to my comment?

Woah, and I thought this day would be lame and uninteresting!
No, this is your life at its peak. As good as it gets.
This is the best day you will ever have.

PS. So what's your favorite part?

PPS. Of the newspost, not your day.

Also, wanted to add: gog's rounding is REALLY annoying. It shouldn't be more expensive of 5 cents than on Steam. :/

This is my least favorite part of this newspost. :(

But this isn't news, it's been quite some time that those rounding errors has become business practice. :P

It's not a bug... it's a FEATURE!

That's my issue with it. :P

Also, looking at the steam reviews it seems that the UI isn't the most well done, so even if I had been interested I'd have waited. :P

They really have to work on that and have a great UX.
I will just make a random post as apparently Blues are replying to posts here.

Also, the aesthetics of the game looks good.

I didn't really like the newspost, I found it rather dry. I liked the one with the poem, you know who wrote that one?

Also, you name is actually KONRAD? LOL :D:D:D

Is that like hungarian or something?

Yay!! :)

The current composition succeeds to stand up to the time honoured tradition at GOG of writing newsposts that serve the purpose of not only announcing the arrival of new instances of interactive software to the store, but also delight with its flourish while elucidating the central elements of the concerned instance of software. The images evoked signal the author being well versed in the art of rhetoric, but manages to stay on the path of lucid diction while avoiding verbosity.

Reglisse: Bought the game on itch.io for the DRM free version a long time ago.
Dev give a Steam Key to us backers, removed the itch.io build and no GOG connect available for now /:
AWESOME!
avatar
mqstout: Dev's active on here. Ask again now that it's on GOG? I wonder why the removal from itch?
Thanks for bearing the storm for me!

1. We never promised GoG keys, only Steam.
2. We are giving Steam keys for free, on top of your itch key
3. GoG Connect will get you the GoG version, which is identical.

So just give us some time to make it happen. You're getting 3 copies of the game for less than the price of one.

No problem!
I edited my post some time ago.
It just...I backed so much games with a DRM FREE tag or Linux tag and It turned to be Steam only T_T
I'm quickly worried now...

And I was just asking to be sure because I was going to buy the game here.

Btw...Itch.io is going to never be updated again...

Valve and Itch rules. Can't have it on both because "reasons" (sigh).

The DRM Free thing is coming, I just can't say exactly when (out of my control, really)
