looks pretty nice - wishlisted for now
This looks like it could scratch certain itches left by Godus being a failure and Populus being dead.
The good old Heinz Erhardt ... that man had a sense for puns, absurd rhymes and twisted phrases - simply amazing.

Together with Loriot and Ephraim Kishon a true master of the absurd, yet highly intelligent, humour.
Playing your own god sounds good. :P And as all of their other games have a Linux version chances are good that the Linux version of this game will survive the release day. But why does such a simple graphics require proprietary drivers?

What is with all the games with awful artstyles GOG keeps releasing here? The curation here sucks.

XYCat: ok, but when do we get Doghood?
This actually a good idea for a game. You choose a breed of dog and climb your way up to become the alpha in your neighbourhood. Train the dog with various activities to increase the stats like strength, speed, intelligence and stamina. You can either win a territory and other dogs loyalty by defeating the local alpha or outsmarting them by entrapping them so they can't leave their house or even moved.

eiii: why does such a simple graphics require proprietary drivers?
Why does any game? Writing their own engine and not testing on anything but, that's why. Their Renowned Explorers engine barely worked on my hardware (mesa+amdgpu) when it came out, and even after they fixed the worst ones it's still got glitches.

Why do the system requirements list Intel, when Intel doesn't supply separate proprietary drivers (that I know of)? Copied from the Windows requirements, I'd bet.

In any case, I don't run proprietary drivers, and I don't have time to test, anyway, so I guess I won't even be buying this on release, or ever.
Looks kkz, I guess? Buuuut familiar?

I'd play the hell out of that. Anyhow, this game looks good, so wishlisted.

Maybe as I mentioned in my post, kinda like Godus/Populus, but perhaps more like Cutures/The Settlers?

Because graphics make the game. *rolls eyes* I've seen plenty of polished turds over the years.

It doesn't matter how good the gameplay is if the graphics look like it was meant for the 12-16 yr old demographic.

This is entirely subjective.
Nearly 90% of the Indiegames won't hold this standard - but in many cases deliver a much better game than most AAAs

Therefore also shows like Rick & Morty should not be broadcasted - content is perfect, but naaah the art style is not allowed :P

Which is why indie games are mostly crap. It's games like these that give "indie" a bad name, people start associating indie only with cheap cartoony graphics.

Also entirely subjective.

Indie games are a huge market, regardless if you like their approach on graphics. So I guess their reputation cannot be r that bad.
If you don't like this art style fine, but this is your sole opinion not a fact, most of the indie customers are fine with how things are.
