How about doing it British style. We tie him and toss him in the lake. If he survives, he is a witch. If he doesn't...well he's not :P

hmm... wasn't there the method of putting someone under water with a stone to see if that person was a witch in the Middle Ages. If the person drowned no witch, if not than witch and burn :D
