If you have Windows 10 only a third of the games work immediatly. Me and my friend have around 300 games between us, and the decline since Win 10 is immense: Most games now require some tinkering, and some even wont work at all.

PLEASE GOG, devote time and manpower to get your catalogue to Windows 10! Bring back the convenience.
Switching to Windows 10 either today or tomorrow. NOT thrilled but I'm not backing out and I have confidence in GOG.

Didn't we have this discussion a week ago? What games do not immediately work on Windows 10, maybe we can offer you assistance on getting them to run (and maybe they do run out of the box for the majority of us as well).

Edit: Glad to see that the percentage of games working rose from 25% to 33% in just a week. Seems like GOG is actually fixing them.

I can't find either one of the threads but staff is looking for a windows 10 person who can do reverse engineering. Until they get that position filled, there's little that they can do:

Yes and since last week I tried to play other games who also failed. Sorry but I will keep posting these if you dont fix your merchandise.
I dont want to help with that specific game, I want to voice my increasing frustration with the state of the games you sell. Convenience was the big selling point for GOG; no longer tinkering with files and DOXbox and whatever. Just install & play. But since Win10 this selling point has vanished.

My buddy and I used to do Retro-LANs mainly with GOG games, but since we switched to Win10 we noticed several games not working anymore. Just a few hours ago we were in the process of doing another one, this time we wanted to play Jagged Alliance 2. But of course... (see attachments)

More people are switching to Windows 10 every year. These complaints will only increase.

Trust me, you don't want to play Jagged Alliance. Those games are impossible! :D

Just tested JA2. Runs fine, crashes on exit, same as on Win7. Make sure you have Directplay installed, since I think I've had done that some time in the past.
Other games that don't run on Win10 that you'd like a quick test done on?

And again we disagree on a game.

Windows 10 is why we can't have nice things in this world.

All I meant was that it's really hard. That's really only a complaint for people like me with zero skill. :P

Ah, I see. In that case yes, I agree. It was quite hard. But I loved it!
It seems like most cases of problems peopel have with old games on Win 10, is that they don't know to go into the control panel and enable directdraw.

My experience with Windows 10 is that with games that require DirectDraw, Windows even tells you you need to enable Direct Draw, there's no need to search for a solution, it's offered to you on a plate.

When I started a topic about retro-gaming, asking what games wouldn't run on Windows 10 but would in an XP retro-gaming machine, the number of games mentioned that wouldn't run was zero. Off all the GOG games I have installed since I've got Windows 10, the number of games that wouldn't run was zero. Makes me wonder how the OP comes to a number of 67% of games that don't run (without tinkering).

And one final remark: continuing posting complaints won't make the open application any more likely to be applied to by someone experienced and knowledgeable in refitting old games and willing to move to Poland for that job. In other words: the willingness of GOG to spend money (=someone's time) and manpower to get the job done is there, but you also need to find a person who can and will do that job. In Poland.

I've had no issues either, but didn't post earlier, as I know it's both anecdotal and my sample size is admittedly small (only about 35 or so games so far).
