I found this on a thread on the internet, and while I realize the potential that the info may be fake, most of it seems to be too good.

So thoughts on this? Will it hold true, will be just be a huge disappointment?

I am hoping for truth, all of those games.

Bwahaha, that's as fake as they come. :p

The price points are whatever. There's System Shock 2 mixed in with 5 other releases the same day, etc.

I'm going to go with no. Not going to happen.

The idea was to be coinciding with E3's conference days.
It makes sense considering EA owns the license to System Shock and yet the most wanted games on GOG have never popped up in the library. I think they were holding out for a special moment.

Still, not holding my breath, but still watching and waiting.

EDIT: From looking around, the price points from suspicious ones like Sonic Adventure DX are to compete with other D2D services like Steam with a similar price.

About the only ones of suspicion for this list are the Dooms, the prices seem lower than most sites offering.

Ooh. I wouldn't mind seeing the original The Sims here. That said, that list sure looks all kinds of fake.

Unless some or all are on sale 50% off on release...
That'd be the only way. Though I also think this is fake.

I know they aren't going to go below $5.99 since that's one reason why the game I'm developing was denied by GOG. (Both myself and GOG felt that it should go for a lower price than $5.99 and that's the lowest they have planned.)

Why would they be fake or trolling?. Lets wait to see if it happens ;)

Gog has been discounting 'new' releases on pre orders, so why not discount those games on initial release?

For starters, the Sonic Mega Collection doesn't even exist on PC. ... Or maybe it does.

Edit: After some more googling I had to change my statement. I actually wasn't aware that Sega made it for PC back then.

Still...

Does GOG have a publisher's list or anything so I can cross check most of these further.

A few of them sound legit, but 18 games over 3 days seems a bit much. However, it is E3 and usually people try to capitalize on this one event in gaming.
Looks good. Let's hope it's true.
I wouldn't be surprised if GOG had another publisher ace up its sleeve for this summer, but getting four new ones added to the list within a matter of three days? Extremely unlikely.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for 5.99? It will be great if it is true :-)

That list implies they've signed deals with Take-Two, Zenimax and LucasArts. Lucas Fucking Arts. There is no way GOG would sign LA and just start slapping their games up. There would be announcements of announcements of announcements EVERYWHERE.

That list also implies that GOG, EA and whatever bank that was causing trouble all resolved their issues with the rights, they would milk the shit out of that. That is the most wanted game on GOG.

IDK about you, but this list looks to good to be true. It is odd however that a random GOG thread would pop up like that.

Edit: Forgot to mention SEGA.
