Sorry guys, had a sore throat today and took an antigen test, and I have Covid. I don't think I'll be long for this world, so PM me if you want my GOG game collection.

Relax. If the test was a PCR-test than the chances are good that it was just a false positive. And even if you have a Corona virus infection, so what? The possibility that you die from it are rather minimal if you have no other severe health problems. So don't make yourself crazy by telling yourself that you will die from it. Just take care of yourself and do what you would do when you had a heavy cold or flu and you will most probably be fine.

Been dealing with a sore throat myself this week, though that seems to be the only sympton I have. Usually gets worse throughout the night and better throughout the day.

I still haven't taken the test myself, but maybe I'll take it if things get worse.

Funny thing, when my wife had covid (with the same very sore throat sympton) in January, I didn't seem to catch it from her. But we did have a climate change here in my city this week (from very hot to midly cold) so that could have affected me.

I've been vaccinated 3 times already, Pfizer every time. So, if it is Covid, it probably won't get much worse than what I'm feeling.

Anyways, I hope we both get well soon. :)

Hope you feel better soon. Try and avoid giving it to anyone else.

Why? Actually having it is better for you than that stupid vaccine they're giving out.

I'm sure that's a great consolation to everyone who has lost family and friends. Don't be a moron, think before you type.

Hopefully it will be a false positive and is just a normal sore throat.

Lost from what? The vaccine or the virus and which variant?
Poor healthcare treatment?
Lack of prophylactics?
Poor to no pretreatments and anti virals?
Joke masks which don't filter or fit properly putting people at unnecessary risk when the technology is there to keep people safe?

Use a mask and avoid fisical contact with people to prevent them from getting infected. You can not only infect family and friends, but people in the grocery if they don´t wear masks (and them, other people), for example.

It might just be a case of sore throat to you, but it might be a really serious sickness for other people depending on their age and inmunity system strenght.

Wishing you all the best, mate. You'll get through this, I know it.

Pretty lame that you're still posting in this forum, you might infect other users. I hope they'll put you into quarantine soon.

If you are anything like me then... well, I was fine actually and did not have anything more than really bad fatigue for about a week and a half or so. I have known people who were elderly and caught it but somehow did not even notice but have also known that friends of relatives did in fact die from it. One of my relatives had this wretched cough and was sick for a good two weeks but it never devolved into anything more than flu-like symptoms. Not everyone's experience is the same but there is a good chance that it won't be too bad.

Read a book, play a game, it's why I played through the Max Payne trilogy.

Well, the line on the antigen test was faint so I'm gonna do another one tommorrow. Can these things be wrong?

The PCR tests have a 50% failure rate, so i don't trust you'd have it. It's not much different than having the flu or a cold, though it can last a couple weeks. Unless you're over 70, or have some major comorbidities you will probably survive and be fine.

If you aren't taking vitamins i suggest taking them right away, as you'll be surprised how much better you can fight it off. C, D, zinc, elderberry, and echinacea, to start with.

Rest, drink water, probably take something for mucus and wait it out. Going to the hospital probably won't do anything for you.
