anomaly: Twitter is saying Far Cry, but TBH there, the accounts answering have been named from the games themselves.
Because Ubisoft games are just that, publicity; they seems don't invest earned money into the games. In fact, take a notice in Ubi DLC prices, and the content... What a thievery.

Seriously, don't get Ubi market foolish you, they have become worst than EA.

anomaly: BTW, owing to living in Switzerland, I get an odd warning on Wolfenstein. See the pic attached (hope I did that right).

First it tells me I can't get the game in English and it will be a censored German version.
When it was first release the games was censored in Switzerland, Germany, some another countries. And the version available in Switzerland was in German only .

But after the protests/shitstorm it caused, Bethesda decided to "upgrade" the game to the uncensored version for peoples outside of Germany.

They offer both version because there is no uncensored German version, so if you speak German you have the choice between playing it censored in German or playing it uncensored in English.

And to answer your question, another vote for Wolfenstein. I was pretty sure it would sucks like a lot of the recent reboots but for once I was proven wrong and I a glad of it.
haven't played any of them, but I'd probably go after Wolfenstien.

here's a recent writeup I saw

Only played The Talos Principle (couldn't decide what to get with the gift card I got for Christmas). So far I'm enjoying it. Plenty of puzzles, an interesting narrative throughout the whole thing, and a beautiful soundtrack. Not much else I can say about it besides that.

I loved Wolfenstein TNO, my only grip with the game was the story because i wasn't sure if it was to be serious or goofy. Amazing game none of the less...

As for FC4, i'd say it's a good time waster if you want to play (and repeat) missions, it looks amazing for an open world and the coop is fun but midway into the game i didn't care about the story or characters and the missions were quite repetitive (the usual for Ubisoft open world games).

Hard to say what would be better, i can say that Wolfenstein is full of memorable moments while FC4 was an amazing "trip" because i was just travelling across the map and amazed how beautiful it was ...
I would say Wolfenstein: The New Order because it's the opposite of what you might expect ("generic new Wolfenstein game / more of the same").

Knowing Ubisoft, you may have to buy DLC after DLC after the game is released, so does your birthday promise extend for these DLC after 3 months?

If that's a one thing off you may be stuck with an incomplete experience unless you shell out more money. Look at all the new Ubisoft games, which do not have DLC?

Better get something else if your birthday gift does not extend to DLC 3 months later, are you sure you will be happy with this?

Well then, I think the community has spoken!

Thanks for all the input. The winner is clearly Wolfenstein. I see that it has a potential for a stealthy approach, which is good because I like games like that, though I'm not averse to going ahead guns blazing if needs be.

I honestly thought it would be FC4, and truth be told, I will buy it at some stage most likely, but on sale.

I appreciate all the input, and the positive approach.

Cheers all

I think that's the right choice. Can't go wrong with Wolfenstein :)
