tfishell: For those still interested in this thread content, it appears that Tommo, Inc. got the rights to the Humongous games. http://www.gog.com/forum/general/atari_auctions/post13 Don't know for sure, of course. Once I do know for sure, I will try to contact them.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/154934708/In-re-Atari-Inc-NOTICE-OF-SUCCESSFUL-AND-BACK-UP-BIDDERS-WITH-RESPECT-TO-THE-AUCTIONS-OF-CERTAIN-OF-THE-DEBTORS%E2%80%99-ASSETS126013701588
And just to glom on to this, the people who bought the Backyard Sports franchise was entirely different from the above, purchased by Epic Gear, LLC. I may need to get in touch with them and ask some questions about their future plans.
Thought I'd make an account just for this thread; I personally would re-buy each and every one of the Putt-Putt, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam and Spy Fox games if they were available on here.

Grew up on these and loved them to bits <3
Really hope to see them available again one day :(
For those interested, Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo has now been re-released for Windows on Nimbus' website (link here). I think $10 is a little much for just one HE title, but at least it's something. Presumably they're also going to be doing this for at least the other 5 games they currently have on the App Store.

I saw the email, too. It's great that these games are being re-released on Windows, but I agree that 10 is a little too much (plus with SCUMMVM you get both Windows and Mac), plus it'd be nice to have one single place to download all the games from.

So with all due respect to Nimbus, I'm going to keep pushing for GOG to get the SCUMMVM games here, closer to 5.99 a piece. I'm hoping Tommo Inc. may listen, but I am skeptical.
For those who haven't seen it, check out this Facebook page:

You get some cool "insider" photos like the ones above and get to read other interesting stuff about Humongous. (I believe it was pezhead53 who originally linked to it in this thread.)
It seems the Junior Arcades are finally getting some love, with Freddi Fish and Luther's Maze Madness now available on iOS devices! Also, Nimbus' Facebook has been posting a lot of pictures indicating a release of Putt-Putt Joins the Circus is in the near future
I'm now sending a "formal" email to Tommo Inc. They actually retweeted one of the times I tweeted them about this (which meant they took notice), but I want to send this suggestion in a more professional manner. (will be including a link to this thread, too. :)

Awesome! Good luck, and keep us posted!
I'm considering buying an original big box version of Pajama Sam during the coming weeks, as a sort of collectible. :) They seem pretty darn inexpensive, but I do have the HIB 9 to get and perhaps HOMM2 if I'm going to be playing with some people.

You can get it here for $15 bucks.

I do all my old game shopping from these guys. Nuclear Strike, Fade to Black, Heretic II, Terra Nova: Strike Force Centauri, X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, they got a lot of great stuff. Stuff that I can't get from GOG (yet), that is.

Oh shoot, nice! Boy, though, that site could use a redesign. It looks like nothing has changed in 13 years; you're sure they're still operating? :P

Yup, I order from them all the time, placed my last order a few months ago. :)
I can't let my hopes get too high, because it's possible GOG may still not consider these games appropriate for their target audience (but c'mon, we have Torin's Passage and Manhole here ;), but technically we do have Tommo Inc. onboard it seems! Apparently they purchased various other classic Atari IPs, so we have Tommo here via Pirates!, Dragonsphere, B-17, etc.

So of course I'm hoping GOG takes advantage of this. Being known for DRM-free classics, and point and click adventures, I still think the Scumm versions would fit well on GOG.

(Hopefully the soundtracks could still be included; here's the extractor for the .HE4 files, again: http://www.mediafire.com/download/iezh2vadyuu6evo/He_games_music_extractor+%28%28need+.NET+framework%29%29.exe )

EDIT: I am willing to eat half a sock if Humongous point and click classics appear here! I agreed to do that for Team17 bringing Worms Armageddon, so when both appear I will have eaten a whole sock.

Was this Freddi Fish 1 or 2? :D I played 2 a long time ago (but don't remember this), but I never played 1.

Good stuff!
