Hello All,

I just got an HP Stream 7 (Windows 8.1). I plan to a bluetooth keyboard, but in the meantime I'm finding my way around the tablet. I'm pretty PC savvy (use Windows 7 regularly) and have been gaming since the DOS days so I can tweak an OS to my liking. However, I tried installing a few GOG games:

Heroes of Might and Magic 1
Fallout 1 (I know it's discontinued)
Legend of Grimrock

For setting up the tablet, I set the OS to "best performance" visually and set the page file to 1500MB, in hopes of alleviating the 1GB RAM bottleneck. I also did a directX install.

- HOMM just didn't run, and I can't figure out why. Is it because of Dosbox compatibility?

- Fallout 1 didn't run. I disabled UAC controls, still no go.

- Legend of Grimrock needed a directx update, which lead me to believe that was the culprit. However HOMM still doesn't run. I deleted Fallout but will try again.

- Is there anyone on the forums who owns a Stream 7? What are some things you do to get GOG games to run? How should I set up the OS?

Thanks in advance. Look forward to some classic gaming on this tablet!
Wondering the same thing.
I couldn't get Arcanum or Thief- Metal Age to startup.
I just figured that the Stream was just not strong enough to play them.
Just figured it out - you need to attach an external mouse and keyboard. I used a blue tooth keyboard and usb mouse via otg to usb adapter. That did the trick. I now have a tiny windows 8.1 computer.
