It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi,
I have attached an image of the downloader page.
I managed to get the downloader installed but I don't know how to use it.
It opens a window which asks me to log in, which I do, but then what? I don't know how to download a game with it.

If there are any instructions on the downloader page then I am unable to see them as you can see by the included image.

The reason I want to try the installer is because I am unable to download Crysis' install .exe, which is only 26mb. I have tried both the browser and GOG Galaxy. They both have trouble connecting with the server.
The large install files downloaded fine and my internet connection shows no problems and everything else works fine.

I am grateful for any advice,
Thank you.

Once the downloader is installed, go to your account, find the game you want to download, click on more, gog downloader links and click on the files you want to download. Assuming a proper installation, the downloader should pick up the files and start downloading them.
If neither Galaxy nor browser do download though, there may be a server issue at play.
Install the script found in this thread.

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/adalia_fundamentals_fixing_gog_so_you_dont_have_to/page1

Then when you go to your games list & click on download, it'll download the one the works with downloader, meaning you don't have to screw about looking in menus for things.

The file will automatically ask to open gogdownloader & will then download it for you.

A simple case of clicking the icon to side of that once it has downloaded which opens the folder where the games installer is located.

I remember having the exact same problem back when I used the old Downloader the first time. It hadn't occurred to me that it needs to be used together with your browser, ie. you log in to your GOG account twice (through that Downloader client, and through your browser to gog.com), and then click on the downloader links through your browser and it initiates the download in the Downloader client.

Similar idea in a sense as with torrents, you click on the torrent links on a web page, but the download takes place on a separate (bittorrent) client...
