Dungeon Keeper 1&2, Theme Hospital, Magic Carpet, 3 Populous games, and Syndicate 75% off!

Hey kids! Do you know what time it is? (No, please twell us uncle G-Doc!) It's time to start the holiday sales on GOG.com! (Yaaaay!!!). Yes, that's right. This time of year GOG.com rolls out the big promo guns. This time we begin with a great bundle of Bullfrog Favorites, that you can get with an amazing 75% discount! Let's take a quick look at the content of the first GOG.com holiday promo package, shall we?

You can learn how good it feels to be bad in Dungeon Keeper and Dungeon Keeper 2. You can cure such diseases as transparency and broken wind in Theme Hospital. You can glide the Arabian skies on your Magic Carpet. You can become a god-like being and lead your followers to glory in Populous, Populous 2: Trials of the Olympian Gods, and Populous: The Beginning. Finally you will dominate the future as the head of your Syndicate. Normally, to do all that you'd have to pay nearly $50. But for the next 24 hours that whole bundle of games can be yours for only $11.92!

That's not all, of course. You just saved over $35. There must be something cool you can do with it, right? As you browse through our catalog, you will notice that almost all of the games we offer have been discounted by 50% for the holiday season. That's no mistake! We really took our sharpest scissors to those prices, so you can enjoy literally hundreds of excellent games for half the regular price.

Enjoy our offers, grab the Bullfrog Favorites bundle for only $11.92, and fill your home with holiday gaming cheer! Happy holidays!
that feel when I bought dungeon keeper 2 for 6.00 this morning, and then I notice it just went on sale for 3.00

adamzs: I own all the Bullfrog games, too. I wonder if there will be other 75% off packs throughout december, or if this is a one time thing?
It says "Day 1" so there's reason to believe there will be other 75% or at least 60% pack promos.
Aaaaargh, I should have bought FTL when it was 6 bucks.
Nice to see Gothic 1 on sale this time around. Also the Codemasters games, or what's left of them, anyway.

Aningan: And Eador.
Eador seems to have been removed from the sale just now, probably since it's a) new to the site and b) it was already discounted heavily (40%) for the last week. But I do recall seeing it in the discounted list, or at least not seeing its price as grey in the catalogue.

Oh right, I missed that! Thanks for pointing that out. Not gonna buy anything right now then, waiting for more promos.
I'm a little slow but will the sale still be on all day on Jan 3rd then? This matters a lot for me who gets his social security monthly deposit on that morning. If so, I can wishlist stuff and get it the last day during all this. That would be sweetness.

Meantime, I am very tempted to add the Populous games and Magic Carpet to my collection for only six bucks where I own the other games in the promo. Thanks a lot GOG for giving us credit for previous purchases in bundle deals like that.

Was the free game supposed to be today? Did I miss it somehow?
I'll wait and see if a Tex Murphy pack is gonna be available :-) ...
75% on all tex murphies would be great :-) (Same goes to odd's world)

I face this same temptation since I don't own those games either :) Oh, and the free game is Duke Nukem 3D.
Btw, was Dungeon Keeper 2's Windows 7 compatibility ever fixed?

Pheace: Well they can stuff it :p

If I wasn't putting the BG games purchase off already because the Anthology is just a far better deal than getting them separately I'd still be buying the originals on GOG over the Enhanced Edition from Beamdog.
avatar
Bloodygoodgames: Enhanced Edition is getting poor reviews, so I wouldn't pony up the money for it. Not enough extra stuff for the much higher price, IMO.
avatar
N0x0ss: Nevermind... I don't know how to read apparently,
avatar
Bloodygoodgames: LOL, well obviously I don't either because I'm asking a dumb question :)
The state in which they released the enhanced edition is such sadness. I was okay with it being too expensive for what you got where it was coming in a native Mac version which is nice for me but for it to be infested with bugs was just inexcusable.

On a bright note, I have my fully modded BG1 tucked away on my USB drive that only needs the widescreen mod to complete it (I didn't have a widescreen when I modded and played it last) and I can play that very nicely in XP on a virtual machine on my Mac. :D

I don't think those guys are going to do too well. Maybe it will sell well on iPads if they fix the bugs. I've lost hope for BG II EE being anything special for PC and Mac users.

Oh, God. I am dumb and don't know what that translates to in Eastern time in the USA. Thank you for your answer though. Maybe someone can clue me in.

I think EST is GMT-3, so it should be 11:59.
9:59am

That would be the middle of the Atlantic. ;)
