Today we’re starting our holiday celebrations as promised with a 48 hour sale of The Witcher 2 for just $23.99--with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for free! Celebrate the holidays by giving that special someone in your gaming life over a hundred hours of nonlinear mature RPG goodness, filled with intricate plots, beautiful visuals, and intense action, or pick it up for yourself if you haven’t yet.

This is the best price we’ve had on the Witcher franchise so far--and a better price than we’ll have on these two games when the holiday sale proper starts on Monday--so there’s never been a better time to get these awesome games from our sister company CD Projekt RED.

UPDATE: If you want to gift The Witcher 2 + the free Witcher: Enhanced Edition, be sure to add The Witcher 2 AND The Witcher: EE to your cart (The Witcher: EE will be for free then) after that check-out while selecting to gift this order.

If you’re not familiar with the Witcher games, here’s the skinny on them: you play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer with superhuman abilities called a Witcher. In The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, you are suffering from amnesia and remember nothing of your past. Kaer Morhen, the last remaining keep of the witchers, was attacked by a mysterious organization, and though you and your allies fought off the invasion, the secret recipe for the mutagen, a substance required to create more of your kind, has been stolen. It is up to you and your friends to explore the mysteries of the world of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and punish those responsible. Before long you will find yourself swept up in a giant cataclysm that will wrack the Kingdom of Temeria, upsetting everything in its wake.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings takes place several months after the first game in the series. Geralt became one of the central figures of political turmoil in the Kingdom of Temeria. Geralt continues to protect the king in the his mission to bring peace to the country. The last bastions of the Order of the Rose have yielded to the royal army and the only remaining task is to pacify the rebellious castle of Baroness La Valette. This will not be as easy at it may sound, however, and you will soon find yourself fighting for your life to protect everything that you hold dear.

This sale will be running from now until 10 December at 10:59 GMT, and then once that’s ended we’ll be starting our crazy blizzard of holiday bonus codes. If you haven’t picked up these award-winning RPGs yet, don’t wait any longer!

UPDATE: If you already have The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition, please contact support to get a giftable code for The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition when buying The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in this promo.

lowyhong: Crap I forgot to check the Gift option when checking out, so I have no extra Twitcher 1 gift code. What do I do?

-edit- I am of course assuming that the "contact support" option is supposed to be done before I buyt he game, but in any case I have contacted support too.

-edit 2- I clicked "Send" and it doesn't even confirm whether I have sent the message or not. It just takes me back to the Support page. Is there supposed to be a confirmation at all?
You should enter your email address so that the code well be sent to your email. Contact support would take time and since this isn't be a long promo, it would end before any support could reply to you (assuming they are busy as Santa's elves).
Very tempted, but my current comp is incapable of running it, and I don't see myself being able to upgrade any time soon.
I rarely buy games, usually spend money on one or two games a year and that not full price (also bargains at steam sales) . RPGS were a foreign genre to me that I slowly started exploring and people gave me to try the witcher. It was a masterpiece and one of the few games that gave me such strong feeling about the characters and atmosphere.

Thank you cd projekt for the experience you've offered me, thank you for creating something the community will like , thatnk you for paying attention to us PC GAMERS and thank you for NO DRM. I am happy to give my money to a developper like you.

I've already bought the game. I hope they can reply even after the promo, since I've got the receipt. Anyway, is it normal that after sending in a ticket, I get brought back to the default Support page without any confirmation?
I would grab this great offer (I don't have either), but I have to choose between this and possibly grabbing some in the upcoming sale, so I'm going to try my luck with the upcoming sale.
Congrats to all who are getting a great deal now. :-)

(I bought my copies of TW1 and TW2 previously.)

In my case: I was brought to the congratulation buy page, after the paypal successful payment. Maybe Gog knows that you have already the Witcher 1, so they want you to contact Support.

Crap. This is what I get, when I don't read news posts. Bought W2, but didn't put W1 in the basket. Hopefully the Support Team gets back to me.

And why did you send a PM to me with the same text ?
Very tempting, but I haven't finished the first Witcher yet so I'll hold out for now. Gotta keep my cash reserves intact for the big 50% off sale.
Already have both games, great deal anyway.
