Today we’re starting our holiday celebrations as promised with a 48 hour sale of The Witcher 2 for just $23.99--with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for free! Celebrate the holidays by giving that special someone in your gaming life over a hundred hours of nonlinear mature RPG goodness, filled with intricate plots, beautiful visuals, and intense action, or pick it up for yourself if you haven’t yet.

This is the best price we’ve had on the Witcher franchise so far--and a better price than we’ll have on these two games when the holiday sale proper starts on Monday--so there’s never been a better time to get these awesome games from our sister company CD Projekt RED.

UPDATE: If you want to gift The Witcher 2 + the free Witcher: Enhanced Edition, be sure to add The Witcher 2 AND The Witcher: EE to your cart (The Witcher: EE will be for free then) after that check-out while selecting to gift this order.

If you’re not familiar with the Witcher games, here’s the skinny on them: you play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer with superhuman abilities called a Witcher. In The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, you are suffering from amnesia and remember nothing of your past. Kaer Morhen, the last remaining keep of the witchers, was attacked by a mysterious organization, and though you and your allies fought off the invasion, the secret recipe for the mutagen, a substance required to create more of your kind, has been stolen. It is up to you and your friends to explore the mysteries of the world of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and punish those responsible. Before long you will find yourself swept up in a giant cataclysm that will wrack the Kingdom of Temeria, upsetting everything in its wake.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings takes place several months after the first game in the series. Geralt became one of the central figures of political turmoil in the Kingdom of Temeria. Geralt continues to protect the king in the his mission to bring peace to the country. The last bastions of the Order of the Rose have yielded to the royal army and the only remaining task is to pacify the rebellious castle of Baroness La Valette. This will not be as easy at it may sound, however, and you will soon find yourself fighting for your life to protect everything that you hold dear.

This sale will be running from now until 10 December at 10:59 GMT, and then once that’s ended we’ll be starting our crazy blizzard of holiday bonus codes. If you haven’t picked up these award-winning RPGs yet, don’t wait any longer!

UPDATE: If you already have The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition, please contact support to get a giftable code for The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition when buying The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in this promo.

J-Ro: http://www.gog.com/bonus/ is the link I've got in the mail. I put the code in, it accepts; I go to the W:EE page, see the "Grab for free" button, click on it... and it takes me to the cart where W:EE is still priced at $4.99.

Maybe if I continue with the check-out it will apply the code, but I'm not really sure.
try it,as long as you dont fill in any details to actually pay.

Hahah, that's the issue - it's not gonna let me check-out without the details. Waiting for a response from the Support Team, but I was hoping that someone had a similar experience. ;)

UPDATE: Three different codes, same thing happens every time.

I got my code and it offers my friend to buy the game for $4.99 instead of giving it for free. :\ I went as far as the paypal payment page. Didn't complete the checkout cause it was definitely going to charge me five bucks. :\ Still waiting for further support.
Is there any update on this issue?... Support is keeping silent about it, which is something that worries me. Are we supposed to now buy The Witcher EE for $4.99 extra instead of getting it for free, or will this issue be resolved?..
Yeah, some sort of a response would be nice, at least a "Welp, sorry. You're screwed".
Same thing here, the code I had from the support isn't working properly : still offers me The Witcher EE at 4.99$ instead of free.

Keep faith in the support, I'm sure they are trying their best to satisfy everyone ^^ :)

The GOG team have developed significant good will with many of us, but it doesn't take much to wipe out good will if you don't communicate effectively during an incident.
Sorry about the delay, we're getting tons more support requests due to the website issues related to the increased server load, and we can't reply as fast as we would like.

By now everyone who contacted us should have received either a TW1 bonus code, or a gift code (we sent bonus codes initially). Bonus codes don't work on discounted games, so if waiting until the end of the Holiday Sale is not an option, let us know and we'll send you TW1 as a gift. We should be done with any pending TW1-related tickets by tomorrow.
Thanks for telling us Firek :).

I'd prefer personnaly to get TW1 as a gift, as intended during the bundle sale :).
Yeah, thanks for the heads-up.
*Sigh* oh well, sent another support ticket. This should be resolved before December 25th, otherwise it fails as a Christmas gift for a friend of mine, so I would like to have a gift code instead of the bonus code - basically, something that would work immediately and before December 25th. Thank you in advance. I know you're trying hard to satisfy everyone...
It should, Agetian. I just got my WW:E gift code, thanks to the GOG team. ;)

Note to self: next time, read the damn news post before buying bundles.
I just got mine as well, thanks to the GOG team for a prompt and fast response on it! Best of luck to GOG.com in all their future endeavors, I sincerely wish similar accidents will be avoided in the future, I want to see GOG as a perfect service - I know that nothing is perfect in this world, but I want GOG to be the next best thing after that :)))
So I just bought The Witcher 2, hoping that I would get The Witcher Enhanced Edition as well for free, for myself. I got and paid for it, and I do not have The Witcher Enhanced Edition. Is this right? I thought I should have both, but maybe the deal ended or something. Help?
