Today we’re starting our holiday celebrations as promised with a 48 hour sale of The Witcher 2 for just $23.99--with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for free! Celebrate the holidays by giving that special someone in your gaming life over a hundred hours of nonlinear mature RPG goodness, filled with intricate plots, beautiful visuals, and intense action, or pick it up for yourself if you haven’t yet.

This is the best price we’ve had on the Witcher franchise so far--and a better price than we’ll have on these two games when the holiday sale proper starts on Monday--so there’s never been a better time to get these awesome games from our sister company CD Projekt RED.

UPDATE: If you want to gift The Witcher 2 + the free Witcher: Enhanced Edition, be sure to add The Witcher 2 AND The Witcher: EE to your cart (The Witcher: EE will be for free then) after that check-out while selecting to gift this order.

If you’re not familiar with the Witcher games, here’s the skinny on them: you play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer with superhuman abilities called a Witcher. In The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, you are suffering from amnesia and remember nothing of your past. Kaer Morhen, the last remaining keep of the witchers, was attacked by a mysterious organization, and though you and your allies fought off the invasion, the secret recipe for the mutagen, a substance required to create more of your kind, has been stolen. It is up to you and your friends to explore the mysteries of the world of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and punish those responsible. Before long you will find yourself swept up in a giant cataclysm that will wrack the Kingdom of Temeria, upsetting everything in its wake.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings takes place several months after the first game in the series. Geralt became one of the central figures of political turmoil in the Kingdom of Temeria. Geralt continues to protect the king in the his mission to bring peace to the country. The last bastions of the Order of the Rose have yielded to the royal army and the only remaining task is to pacify the rebellious castle of Baroness La Valette. This will not be as easy at it may sound, however, and you will soon find yourself fighting for your life to protect everything that you hold dear.

This sale will be running from now until 10 December at 10:59 GMT, and then once that’s ended we’ll be starting our crazy blizzard of holiday bonus codes. If you haven’t picked up these award-winning RPGs yet, don’t wait any longer!

TheJoe: Are...what? How did... but? Huh?

Fenixp: Oh, so only you redeemed it, phew, all is good then :-) I probably didn't confirm it... Phew. See, I didn't want to ruin it for someone by redeeming something I already have. Good. Ah. Read the title next time. Right. Congrats :D
Oh. Yeah, games you already own can't be redeemed. I was under the impression it actually bugged for you or something and... well whatever.

Many thanks to our shrouded benefactor thewishingwell, regardless of any confusion :P

Well, for some strange reason, I actually REDEEMED to code. I don't know if someone else did it, but I got the gifted game (TW1). Should that happens?

Lexor: You are not able to redeem something you already have.
Well yeah, but this was redeem code for both TW1 and 2, and I don't own TW1. Nevermind, I was afraid I ruined a giveaway in some manner, and that didn't happen at all. So don't mind me :-)

In that case only TW1 would be redeemed. TW2 will still remain untouched.
Oh, I get it now. What a mess :-D
Instabuy! I don't even have the bandwidth to d/l it till next week but at this price i can't pass it up.
If I gift both games to myself do they come as separate codes or bundled?

I own Witcher EE on Steam but wanted to purchase Witcher 2 here just so that I can gift EE to a friend.

I believe they come as one, but when you go to redeem it, TW2 goes into your account and gets removed from the key. TW1 stays on the key so it can be shared.
Hmm thinking I might buy as a gift code for a friend. Question is do I need to change my location to another country so they get the non Australian version or will it simply depend on their accounts location setting when they redeem?

I think you cant redeem single game from the key. You can redeem all games at once and the only games which still stay on key are games you already own.

You can redeem the games you don't own and gift rest of the games to someone else, at least that's how it was with ATARI games catalog I won last year. The pack still contains two unredeemed games I owned previously while all the others were redeemed.
I love the bargain, it's a great offer and im thankfull for Gog / CD Projekt for doing it. However I'm not picking it up as my current computer can't even play Witcher 1 at an acceptable frame rate on a 1280x800 display (which I own from a prior Steam sale) and I have no in my foresable future (6+ months), too many other large expenses first :(

Please tell support to get off their arses. They're not replying.
I've purchased TW1+2 as a gift for my friend and everything was OK. Then I wanted to purchase it for myself and I got this error message:

Whoops, there was some kind of error, sry :(

Does anyone know what is happening?

If you *just* bought the game for your friend, then it's possible that you need to wait a few hours to buy the game again; I believe we have something like that as an anti-fraud measure. If you try again in a few hours and it's still a problem, contact support and they will get you sorted.

As long as you get your request in before the promo ends, they will honor it, even if they are a bit swamped getting back to you.
