Today we’re starting our holiday celebrations as promised with a 48 hour sale of The Witcher 2 for just $23.99--with The Witcher: Enhanced Edition for free! Celebrate the holidays by giving that special someone in your gaming life over a hundred hours of nonlinear mature RPG goodness, filled with intricate plots, beautiful visuals, and intense action, or pick it up for yourself if you haven’t yet.

This is the best price we’ve had on the Witcher franchise so far--and a better price than we’ll have on these two games when the holiday sale proper starts on Monday--so there’s never been a better time to get these awesome games from our sister company CD Projekt RED.

UPDATE: If you want to gift The Witcher 2 + the free Witcher: Enhanced Edition, be sure to add The Witcher 2 AND The Witcher: EE to your cart (The Witcher: EE will be for free then) after that check-out while selecting to gift this order.

If you’re not familiar with the Witcher games, here’s the skinny on them: you play as Geralt of Rivia, a monster slayer with superhuman abilities called a Witcher. In The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, you are suffering from amnesia and remember nothing of your past. Kaer Morhen, the last remaining keep of the witchers, was attacked by a mysterious organization, and though you and your allies fought off the invasion, the secret recipe for the mutagen, a substance required to create more of your kind, has been stolen. It is up to you and your friends to explore the mysteries of the world of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition and punish those responsible. Before long you will find yourself swept up in a giant cataclysm that will wrack the Kingdom of Temeria, upsetting everything in its wake.

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings takes place several months after the first game in the series. Geralt became one of the central figures of political turmoil in the Kingdom of Temeria. Geralt continues to protect the king in the his mission to bring peace to the country. The last bastions of the Order of the Rose have yielded to the royal army and the only remaining task is to pacify the rebellious castle of Baroness La Valette. This will not be as easy at it may sound, however, and you will soon find yourself fighting for your life to protect everything that you hold dear.

This sale will be running from now until 10 December at 10:59 GMT, and then once that’s ended we’ll be starting our crazy blizzard of holiday bonus codes. If you haven’t picked up these award-winning RPGs yet, don’t wait any longer!

UPDATE: If you already have The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition, please contact support to get a giftable code for The Witcher 1: Enhanced Edition when buying The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings in this promo.

ne_zavarj: And why did you send a PM to me with the same text ?
And why did you (hooston) PM me as well?
Obviously you're both part of the conspiration.
No new release today? :-(
Got in a car accident last Friday so all my savings are going to repairing my car so no witcher 1 or 2 for me this year. Great sale though! Merry Christmas!
Looking at this sweet deal I just purchased The Witcher 2 bundle for 23.99$ but I can't find the first game The Witcher EE in my accounts. This is frustrating :(
Contacted via Support concerning the problem, hope I get it soon!

J-Ro: Crap. This is what I get, when I don't read news posts. Bought W2, but didn't put W1 in the basket. Hopefully the Support Team gets back to me.
Really? I didn't see anywhere mentioning that! Well then I have the same problem and hope its resolved :/

Nice sale. I already own both. As well as every other showcased offer here on the seasons´ discount. I might start W2 up again soon. I was a bit disappointed in the actual gameplay though. Maybe after the W2.v2 update things will be better. I really enjoyed W1´s atmosphere and more or less free-roaming (especially the first city/swamp was great in that aspect.)
Oh you teases, you.

I went and bought TW2 for full price about three weeks before you dropped it to its new permanently lower price, and now you torment me further! And I haven't even installed it yet! Whyyyyyyy!

Ahh, I don't really care anyway. So GOG and the devs got more money. Good. I'm happy to have supported both in their endeavours, and others yet to take the plunge can get a nice hefty discount. Do it, people! It's worth it even just for TW1.

GOG, may you continue to get stronger.

u lie. hooston already bought both on gog, what are you playn at, is this a conn or what.
And so it begins...
Really good deal, thanks
I bought Witcher 2 on Release date here on GOG because CDprojekt and CDprojekt Red deserve my every cent but this is one awesome deal no one should pass up
It's a good deal. Even if I previously said a bit otherwise. But you know.. I had a beer and another. Anyway, I finished witcher 2 once. And It seemed that I saw like 52% of the game so.. I'm going to play it again at some point.
At that price.. I'm almost tempted to buy it again. Almost.
WHERE. IS. TODAY'S. RELEASE?!?!?!?!

Tsugirai: WHERE. IS. TODAY'S. RELEASE?!?!?!?!
Considering they started the winter sales, I don't think they will release new games until next year. I could be wrong, though.
But I already own both. -_-
And they're both on my back-log still! D-8
Great Deal! But I've not enough money :(
I think i will wait again...
