It is the biggest regret I have in buying a video game. It's really bad if you were a hardcore fan of the originals... especially if you loved Blood Money.
Gersen: The Silenced Shotgun he mention was a SC : Conviction (Ubisoft) preorder DLC.
Ohh, well I never cared so much for the SC series but it's still clearly wrong to have some kind of silenced mega-weapon as DLC in a stealth game. =/ I got confused because I actually read that bit where it was quoted in SimonG's post and didn't read the original post. :P
The Hitman series is already dead to me now anyway so Squeenix can't hurt me any more.
Preorder items are made to be cheats, basically. Just ignore them. I find it endlessly amusing that people demand them, have to have them, then bitch they're unbalanced when that is the whole point.

Well sadly Conviction could hardly be called a stealth game anymore. Killing everybody in the level is not only a perfectly viable solution is most of the time the preferred solution if not the only one. (And an added bonus, by killing everybody they finally STFU... actually I think that it's one of the few game where my main reason for killing the bad guys was to have them finally stop talking :) )
