Do you love the mythology that inspired the Witcher? Would you like more games set in that kind of world? Well then, you can make one happen. Specifically, this one:

Thea: The Awakening

This frankly cool-as-heck looking game has been struggling twice now to make funding, and for no good reason (other than the devs seem to suck at getting the word out). If even 0.1% of the people who bought the Witcher are interested in this, it could be funded in a flash.

Normally I wouldn't post something like this in its own thread, but this particular project really seems to fit the zeitgeist. So please check it out and see if it's something you can get behind.

Full disclosure: I am in no way affiliated with the game or the devs, nor will I profit in any way from it being made (except in having another game to look forward to playing). The usual Kickstarter caveats apply as well.
Thanks for letting us know.

Looks very interesting.
Too bad I don't particularly like The Witcher.
It looks more like some RTS resource/builder type of game than a Witcher game to me, or am I missing something?

As its page writes it's basically a TBS game.
Reminds me of Heroes of M&M.

Kickstarter support can be quite strange (and unfair), to say the least.
If they had put stupid Anime characters on the game design, or announced some sort of MMO/Co-op option it'd probably be funded in a short time.

Looking back I'm amazed how Kingdom Come: Deliverance garnered such a support. I suspect most people backed it, thinking that it would be a sort of Skyrim, but in Europe.
When the game is released and some people finally realize that there will be no dragons nor wizards I suspect there will be major disappointment.

Yeah, I was expecting a TP sword n sorcery type game from the OP :)

Thanks for the heads up on this one! This definitely looks promising, and worth backing. :)

Usually people do the "full disclosure" warning when they ARE affiliated with the company or product in question. ;D

The Peanut faction is so much better than the Plain faction in that game. =P

I'm emphasising that both games come from the same mythopoeic wellspring, not that they are the same kind of game. Sorry for any confusion. :)

Thanks for the heads up, I will probably have to actually back this one :)

I'm filing a copyright infringement notice immediately! Just wait til Thea reads about this, she'll be pissed off that they stole her name :P
And in case anyone is wondering it is DRM free ;)
