He was on the recieving end of the "death threat" (but really, it was just a stupid internet argument). Asked the staff to intervene, the staff tried to calm everyone down rather than taking sides, and so he decided to delete his account.

ginsengsamurai: I don't think it's enough for a chat-ban, but you should also report this to the authorities. Death threats shouldn't be taken lightly, especially for all the crap that has happened since the internet was opened for broad commercial use.
Yeah, internet have really gone downhill from about 1989/90
