ginsengsamurai: I don't think it's enough for a chat-ban, but you should also report this to the authorities. Death threats shouldn't be taken lightly, especially for all the crap that has happened since the internet was opened for broad commercial use.
While death threats are definitely uncool, I do think the authorities should prioritize other matters over stopping a dastardly revenge scheme that faces an insurmountable obstacle in the form of the curvature of the earth. GOG's chat system, however, is evidently terrible and incentivizes bad behavior, so a malicious user with basic computer knowledge can really ruin everyone's day, staff included.

These guys are just internet armchair keyboard warriors. In real life, they are shy introverts, who wouldn't life a finger at anyone.

Wow, I'm afk for a few hours and all this drama. Honestly people, you shouldn't take yourselves so seriously over the Internet. Though I agree an ignore list is a must-have feature. I prefer having blacklists rather than whitelists...
