I'm trying to remember a game I had way back which I cant seem to find again...

The name escapes me completely, all I remember was it was foreign made - possibly Russia - quite a well known foriegn game studio though. Translated into English , I rememebr thinking the game was probably bigger in its home country.

Game was sci-fi setting, flying a ship on a planet, but going along paths - you couldnt fly up into the air. you had to get from place to place, and could upgrade as you delivered stuff, gettting money to do so. You would open up other areas as you went back and forth. different factions - ai ships - would attack you as you went from safe place to place

Im thinking late 2000's , but may be earlier.

There was a sequel as well....

I realise its not a whole lot to go on, but anyone with any ideas??

It's apparently DRM-free and on sale now.

The second part is also avaiable, though that one is apparently Steam only.

There's also a racing game seemingly set in the same universe:

I'm officially sad that 2004 qualifies as "way back when"
A.I.M 2 is free on indiegala:

I'm nearly 50 - anything over 5 years ago qualifies as 'way back when' :)

My age goes a long way to explain why I couldn't remember the game as well!

Bought from gamersgate, added the 1.06 patch exe, happily playing now.

If anyone else wants to give it a try, you will need the 1.06 launcher otherwise there are resolution size issues - get it here

I definitely recommend it - tough to start , not for the faint hearted, but excellent nonetheless

I'm 40 this year. I feel your pain. I thought you were young since 2004 was "way back" but I see your point.
