gixgox: Thank you so much Ghorin!
The script works perfectly on Win 10 + TamperMonkey + Firefox Quantum 68.0.2 (64-bit).

Now it should be added to the ABOUT tab like Adalia's and Barfoot's work.
Thanks again.

Ghorin: Well, since the script only loads in the store page (and not other pages on the site), I don't think that would be of much use.
...
Sorry, my answer was unclear. I know how the script works.
I just want that a mod (?) would add the link to your script to the ABOUT menu.
I add a screenshot.

.....

Added 2 more screenshots.
I hope my stammering (in the chat) is more understandable now.

Ghorin: Ok, added the link.
Please forget what I was trying to explain - what you did now is much more and better as my silly suggestions.

Thanks again.
Great work.

I hope that more users find your script.

Ghorin: Anyway, for those who want more sorting/filtering options and don't mind using user scripts, I've uploaded my script for store browsing (that I created back during last winter sale) to github.

This script adds a third, 'datagrid' view to the store page, where a single grid is used to display the whole catalogue (see screenshots). This way, all sorting/filtering is done in the browser, which is much more comfortable for the end user, although maybe not for gog servers. The whole data download is about 2.5MB in size though, so shouldn't be that big of a deal.
Thank you, that looks very useful. Unfortunately the grid view does not show any games for me. I use Firefox 60esr with Greasemonkey (tried version 4.7 and 4.9) and get the error: "TypeError: allGames.flat is not a function"

Edit: The problem seems to be fixed with version 3. Thanks!

Is there an easier way to update the script than to copy and paste it again into the Greasemonkey editor in the browser?

The original version didn't have an update URL specified, but the current one should update just fine via Greasemonkey script update, as long as you installed it via the direct link. If not (as in, you originally pased into a new script), uninstall and use the link for the installation.

Ghorin: So, we're nearing an anniversary of the 10th anniversary where they, uh, improved the store pages and still every sale thread since looks similar. Oh well, it's just gog I guess :)

This is great, thank you. Hadn't heard about this before.

How do you get it across the whole width of the screen, though? It's pretty narrow on my end.

Edit: Would it be possible to exclude/include publishers too? That way I could remove those filthy cashgrabwhores Beamdog. I get in a foul mood just by seeing their fugly name. Reminds me what transpired with the classics that made GOG famous, and which no longer exist. Would be cool if it was possible to include/exclude on more filters than just the genre. Or if it is indeed possible, please tell me how :)

Note: I've only tested this in recent GreaseMonkey/Firefox@Mint and TamperMonkey/Chrome@Win10 combinations. No idea if the script will work in other versions/script injectors/OSes.
Great job, now we can actually check these no_standalone_page GOG sales; thanks a bunch.

On a side note, we now have three users, ciemnogrodzianin, Ghorin, and RWarehall, that offer QoL features that GOG ought to natively...

The grid simply uses the same space that other view types do, ie. I just fit it inside existing gog page. However, it's a small thing to add an expand option, so I've now uploaded a new version that has a button to expand the store view (in whichever mode) to full screen width. The button's right below the datagrid switch. Update the script to get the new version.

Hah, nope, I didn't anticipate a grudge towards a publisher so big that you wouldn't even want to see their games.
My understanding of boycott ends with just not buying games from someone you don't like :)
Beyond that, I don't really see much need for excluding publishers, so I'll just leave that as-is for now.

Thank you again Ghorin, it's getting better and better.
Star Control 1+2 was added to the sale (not sure if it's added to this one). Also Europa Universalis and family is discounted. I may be wrong, but these were not discounted before, I think...

Correct, they weren't. I went through all the sales last week and didn't see any EU stuff then. And only just today I got a notification that star control (on my wishlist) was discounted

I'll try that. Thanks! And I only can recommend this add-on to everyone. Very well done!

It's easy to forget, since they haven't added new ones for ages.
