If so, please share some tips? Like which players to use? Which route to pick? Its the only thing i have not done; beat the game once to get the secret ending. I reinstalled it, just so i could do this.

I tried 3 times and failed. One with Max, alone, beat the SOR2 route and lost at Mr. X's, while he had only half life bar left. Second, i reached the bomb countdown with Mr. X and Shiva (playables) and let it explode, because i thought since it was on Mania, i wouldn't get the default "death of everyone" ending (but i did). Finally, i tackled SOR2 again with Mr. X and Shiva, and lost, because they did not have police to deal with the countless Jet-buggers and heavy pigs like Abadede/Kusano/Bear.

Recommend me a route and a set of players, please?
Today, I finished the mania again, the route with the Robo-X and the bomb (and accidentally went down to shiva after taking the card but forgot to diffuse the bomb). I got the bad ending. But even if I had managed to diffuse the bomb, what I found is that you don't get the ending. The Robo-X path will not give the ending. The rules are no-cheats, no abrupt exit (save state later), and you have to beat the real Mr-X (so either SOR1 path, SOR2 path or one of the other paths).

Now, the way to do it is using the CPU player of course. I take aggressive CPU, I chosed Rudra (because when she is almost to loose life, she does the fire magic that works always). And in the first few levels I mostly stay back and let her hit the guys. But I do remember to get the numerous bonuses and lifes (secret or not), this way I was at the Robo-X with even 9 lifes (+ invisibles) and no continue lost. But unfortunately it was the wrong path :P

I am not sure if any of the options in the controls (like faster compos:SOR3 or 5 lives and no players hit each other) will cancel this, but I think not. The rules are take a path that you beat Mr-X, no cheats and don't quit abruptly (with F12 or Alt+X) and continue tomorrow, it has to be one go.

Hmmm, that is why i couldn't get it then... I managed to do it after all yesterday. Started in Sor2, and when i reached the ship, i chose the route 1 ship. 1's Shiva is easier because is based on 3's one, 1's MR.X is easier than 2's and the boss sequence is better this way (first 4 in 2 route, 4 last in 1 route). Robo X is certainly the easiest one in the entire Remake!

I had Mr.X with aggressive Sor2 Shiva, and he lasted almost near headquarters! In my last continue i changed to Max and i was able to beat the boss quickly. Very hard to do, was my 7-8 try. I did not want to use the infinite health trainer thing, was worth it...

The AI editor cannot be unlocked, if you do not beat survival or bosh rush with perfect score. Or do the special events.
I'm sure I managed, but it's been so long I don't even remember how, or even how many times I've done it. No less than twice, I think. The only thing I'm missing is getting high scores in survival and boss rush modes. Shiva's kind of overpowered, he might be a good choice. He has a longer combo than the other characters, and an attack which doesn't cause knockback, so it's good for setting up other attacks (it was actually glitched in the original SOR2, so you could abuse it to create infinite combos). Another useful piece of advice is to use the neutral special defensively (i.e. to break out of an anemy combo without it costing you extra health). The secret ending is kinda hit or miss, though. Let us know when you get it.
