Since our announcement on Thursday, GOG has been seeing an incredible and enthusiastic response from members of the community, gamers on the Internet, and blogs and press outlets everywhere. Thanks so much for your interest and support, and thanks for all your (many, many!) preorders. We thought we'd gather up a list here of the blogs where we've seen the news of our release posted, and also ask you guys if you know of anywhere that we've shown up that we missed.

It's always good to see more people talking about GOG and bringing new gamers to our site, since that lets us bring more classic games to you. By the way, if you haven't preordered The Witcher 2 yet, go on and do so now. It's free to preorder!

If it weren't for the super collector that will come at launch, preordering here would have been interesting ^^
During the press release, you folks had a running counter up which displayed the number of pre-orders made. I wish we still had access to that. I got a kick out of seeing how many people had signed up for the game.

I agree. Counters are nice! Would be great to also have counters of sold games, etc. Or graphs of turnaround. These figures should be in the annual reports anyway, right? Even rough sketches! Would be cool to see the actual result of our frantic harassing of friends, neighbours, spreading the word on facebook, heck, even gifting games to other members, etc.. :-)

A wersja pudełkowa go posiada. Ponadto zawsze wersje angielskie (jako że mogą być uzywane "wszędzie") są droższe od lokalizowanych. Podsumowując, wersja cyfrowa jest droższa bo płacisz za brak DRM i jest angielska. Pozdrawiam.

And now back to English... ;)
Not only that, keep in mind it's just us Poles who get a special discount price for the retail version! And honestly it's the only thing that made me preorder the retail version, not GOG's.

Every time I see good game I prefer to buy it in English as Polish versions are bad ones and English language is native for like 95%+games. But this time I'll buy Polish version, as it is original one.
...mmm show up??? ... did you see the Steam forums... ;)

Same here. Although thankfully there are some notable exceptions. Still, this is one of the reasons I love GOG =)

I post it in 2 forums. GOG and CD Projekt RED good job!
The less Codex the better.
Here's another piece of blog coverage from Machinima's Inside Gaming: http://blog.machinima.com/insidegaming/2010/11/18/gog-offering-witcher-2-pre-orders/

Pay no mind to the fact that I wrote it :)

Even as someone who knows no Polish I prefered playing the first Witcher with Polish VA's(and English subs) because it was the superior version. I'll probably do the same with the sequel. Movies, games, and music all seem to usually come off better in their native language, unless the translation is so horrible it becomes hilarious.
Here's the french press reaction :
