Well, at least today's regional pricing fuckery is quite shared out and no region gets the worst price consistently (though those Danish prices for Tyranny are either a bug or really insane):

muntdefems: (though those Danish prices for Tyranny are either a bug or really insane):
It's around +20% for each, hardly unusual for the shafted region of choice for a game according to that list of top 100, is it? Question being why they disliked Denmark in particular so much.

Exactly, there were way worse things in that list, although most of them reeked of buggery. It's just the disproportion between the Danish prices (+20~22%) and the second highest ones (+2~4%) that made my eyebrow raise.

One just has to admire the beauty of those prices set only $0.10 apart from each other:

WTF, I didn't realize Australia and New Zealand got the best deal for Epistory, and that South America and the ex-Soviets got a much lower than usual discount. o_O

(Thanks PaterAlf for pointing it out on the game's release thread)

Yeah, that is a weird one. Looked up whether either the developer or publisher are from there, but nope, Belgian developer, French publisher.

Real Good News for Norway, Sweden, and Poland (but screw you, Denmark and most of the rest of Europe):

Pricing changed for Epistory - Typing Chronicles

>>> Regional price changed from $16.78 to $12.49 in PL
>>> Regional price changed from $16.99 to $12.29 in NO

I wonder if anyone from these countries who happened to buy the game before the price change will get a partial refund, even if it is as store credit...

So now even more "rich" countries (Sweden, Norway) get a discount? That's not exactly what I had in mind when I asked the developer to check their regional pricing...

I wonder if they forgot the one zone though and don't want anybody to pay more than the base price?

PaterAlf: I wonder if they forgot the one zone though and don't want anybody to pay more than the base price?
Not only one zone/region, though... There's still DK, CH, regCZ, regDE, regIT, MC, MT, NL, and SK paying more than the base price.
Anyone care to explain this regional pricing, or give a link to thread/page where this is explained? I'm mainly puzzled why RU gets such a discount. Isn't ruble in rubble?

RU, and usually also UA and regUZ, get massive discounts for nearly everything as per GOG policy due to "market realities", as they put it in the announcement when the Russian storefront was launched. More recently, when the Brazilian storefront was launched, this was also extended to BR and usually the rest of South America as well, though the discounts are lower there.
Industry standards that GOG bowed to since their "good news" moment in February 2014. Or more so since the redesign in August 2014, as the February announcement spoke only of supposedly having to give up on their "one world, one price" principle (as in, you know, the second clear, specific thing they were adamant about since launch, and which they even mocked in ads and stressed in conferences as late as mid-2013 they'll make absolutely no concessions from) for a small number of supposedly AAA titles that are most desired on GOG but which due to existing contracts of their publishers can't be sold at the same price worldwide anywhere. But then the floodgates were opened, some existing titles which were flat-priced became regionally priced and more and more, and after a while pretty much all, newer games added got the full regional pricing treatment, with RU&co paying less and most of Europe more. Then that was also extended to older games, first when they re-added some that were removed due to publishers no longer accepting flat pricing with regional pricing, then adding "new" old games with full regional pricing too, so now you even have games released in the early '90s with such pricing.
For the older games in the catalog, those already in the catalog before the switch, it's usually "just" the RU&co and now also BR&co discounts. But the rest...

"Market realities" mostly means that the piracy rates in those countries are very high and because of that publishers think they couldn't get away with higher prices.

So literally people from those countries get rewarded for illegal behaviour.
