I had accidently requested the security code needed for the two step authentification to be resent like five or more times to my email account. However I recieved only three of them and none of them was working. So I requested additional security codes to be sent to my email adress but none were sent (I still had two tries left, before GoG would temporarily look my account). One hour later I finally recieved another login code that actually worked.

Does anybody now, if this delay is a form of security measure or a bug (lately the gog login form has been acting weird for me when using Firefox)?

This incident had me worried that I might not be able to access my account over the weekend, which was fortunately not the case :-)

Well I never had such problem, so it certainly is not some form of security measure.
The code sending can be a bit slown, but the longest I waited was 3-5mins and then the email with the code was there. You should probably send a ticket to the support with this issue because this sounds broken.
