So in my giant list of suggestions, in addition to asking for updates via e-mail, main page flags, etc ... I also added having an updater to GOG's downloader that could check for updates to games and install the updates across multiple installs of the game and keep track of versioning for each install that user wants it to. This way you can even juggle multiple installs of a game with different updates (in case an update interferes with a mod or something you've done) in addition to being informed of updates when they occur.

However, all of my GOG games are currently downloaded and backed up at present so I'm good.
I know there is a website (saw the link on these forums) which lists the version numbers of the installers. And I checked my copies against it. From it I found that there is a newer version release of Stronghold (which I'll download later this month I reckon) and a newer version of Painkiller (my first GOG purchase but I've still not even installed it!). The Painkiller download is the big one that I'm leaving for now. I have an old version of it already downloaded but I'll probably look to get the new one before I play it.
Just seen the new release here on GOG today, too, and I will be getting that. But at under 300MB that is not a problem at all.
