Lifthrasil: You seem awfully set on eliminating Scene. Why?
avatar
SirPrimalform: Well the first one was RVS and the second one is only because the first one was cancelled.
So, extended RVS even after we had two deaths already? Not good play. Also scene seems to be mostly his usual self. There isn't much to analyse from him yet, but what is there doesn't warrant repeated shots. So, all in all your 'reasoning' isn't good enough.

Two deaths?

I mean, one was mafia, so...

SirPrimalform: Shoot Supplementscene!
*Bang!*

SupplementScene is dead. He was Town.

The queue has been reset. The deadline is still 4pm tomorrow.

Yes. That's still a death - one that can be analyzed. So we're definitely out of RVS. That was my point.

This is Russian Roulette. Is there such a thing as RVS to be out of it?

I guess you can call it RSS, but wouldn't you say it does start random and we should try to step away from pure randomness after a couple of deaths? Sounds pretty RVSy to me.

If one shoots before any sort of comments/discussion/actions take place then it indeed is random. Going over the beginning of the game, it doesn't look like there was any sort of pure RVS. Was your shot random?

My point is that I like neither SirPrimalform's, nor Lifthrasil's reasoning.

Also, since when do you butt in before the one being questioned replies?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Was your shot random?
Not at all. It was very deliberate and I'm quite happy with the result.

avatar
HypersomniacLive: Also, since when do you butt in before the one being questioned replies?
Since today, obviously. Would you like to shoot me because of that?

I might, haven't made up my mind yet.

Basically the fact you shot ZFR makes you pretty lock town, but you'd know that so it's entirely possible it was a very risky scum gambit. An attempt at distancing that went a bit wrong.

But for now I'm more inclined to believe you're town.

I agree with Hyper that neither SPF nor Lifts arguments are particularly compelling, but I also can't help but feel with only one scum left they'll probably be lurking and not drawing attention to themselves.

So, you know, Shoot JoeSapphire

I didn't know what - that ZFR would flip scum? Wouldn't that make me Town automatically? But I agree that no one should take that as a 100% confirmation - it is possible we orchestrated this in the scum day chat as a very blatant next level play. Not very likely but still possible.

The only thing that worries me is that his only post is 3 days old and it's the entry to the game. Doesn't look like a deliberate lurking, he might just not have gotten back to the game. He might even not know what he is (could still be scum). Since we should have around 12.5 hours left until the deadline I'm inclined to give him some time to join us. If he doesn't do so I'd be happy to try and shoot him.

I was also considering shooting at SPF since I didn't like his persistence on taking out scene while I had him [scene] leaning as Town but after going back neither scene was as Town as I thought nor SPF looked as bloodthirsty against a Town player as I thought. I'm still considering him but I'd be more than happy to go with the lurker first.

Exactly. Shooting me would have been understandable. Focusing on Scene not so much. And yes, if you are town, you should try to learn at least something from who shoots whom. Otherwise this game is just pure randomness.

No, I'm suggesting if you are scum you know that shooting your buddy so early would make you practically guaranteed to be town, so while it's a very risky play it makes a degree of sense and my initial thought to right you off as town was incorrect.

Yeah, I couldn't remember who was playing and was posting from my phone so couldn't be bothered to check, and Joe was the one I could remember who hadn't posted much / at all.
You are probably correct though that it's less likely to be deliberate but I thought it was worth taking a shot anyway.

What's that, reiterating a shot that was cancelled? No no no, you can't do that! Your persistence is terribly suspect.

Shoot Lifthrasil
