I'm thinking of buying a Windows tablet with 8.1(not RT).
Mostly I'll use it to play games such as Heartstone but I'm also very interested in buying one if it can manage those SCUMMVM games, and Sierra games. All point and clicks more or less. Sam and Max etc. Maybe even Myst.

Anyone have any experience in play these types of games on such a tablet?

(There's a similar thread like this but it's 4-5 years old).
My thread from earlier this year: http://www.gog.com/forum/general/science_gaming_on_winows_81_tablet

I haven't had time to play more recently, but I plan to keep updating eventually.

ScummVM games should work just fine. They're great on Android, so on a real Windows machine (i.e. not RT) they should be good.

Myst is more demanding. That would depend on your specific graphics hardware.

One fairly consistent problem I had was overheating. It doesn't matter what I do, my Windows tablet gets very hot quickly. Between that and the size I've gone back to Android for tablets. Windows just doesn't seem like it's there yet.
I'm looking at those new HP Stream tablets. $180, windows 8.1, and some free 4G for life.

Not a need, just another toy. If HOMM or similarly old GOG games work on it I'd buy one for sure.
I'm really interested in this aswell, I have a problem with the old RPGs mouse controlled movement, and I'm guessing that on a touch screen I'll be able to finally getting into it!
