2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

Thanks!
I will be happy when somebody fixes the missing game icons issue on the left hand side of the installed game list. We have had this issue for how long now?

EDIT: The background image is also missing.

TheTomasz: we have released GOG Galaxy 1.2.22 containing a new top menu already known from public Beta updates. We hope it will help you be in touch with everything that's going on in GOG as well as with your friends.
Something is for sure broken in 1.2.22. It takes about a 1 - 2 min for Galaxy to start for me and the background process are going crazy when Galaxy is starting. Other people are reporting the same issue on Reddit.

Hope a hotfix comes soon. Report on this issue by NightmareChild.

I've got an 8-core AMD FX8350 with 32GB of RAM, mostly idle and Galaxy is taking 20 seconds to start up (about 12 seconds before anything is visible). It was never that slow to start before, so I can confirm it is starting up slower now than before, however I haven't seen it take 1-2 minutes yet. This is from a hot-cache situation (I exited Galaxy and restarted it right away, so it was in-cache). From a cold cache such as after a system reboot it probably takes longer.

Check you background processes and see if Galaxy Client Service is going crazy during start up..

Actually I was watching it start up in Resource Monitor to check for such, but didn't see anything unusual.

For me it's going crazy in task manager. It will constantly start and shut down like NightmareChild stated.

Yeah, the client service starts and shuts down immediately afterwards again. Does this for 2 or so minutes before it finally launches.

As for hardware, I have an i7-6700K with 32GB of RAM so I really don't see why it takes that long, especially not since it used to launch in 10 seconds max before todays update. On top of that, Steam still launches in mere seconds and that client is definitely more advanced than Galaxy.

Not trying to brag here, just providing some more info in case it's a bug that only affects certain hardware.

I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz, and 16 GB of RAM. Providing specs in case it is relevant, and it was for sure quicker before the v1.2.22 update.

---

And am I the only one wishing the Friends list on the client opened similar to how it opens on the site now. I think that is much better than a separate pop up window. @Galaxy Team can we make this happen?

Just to clarify: this is one of those crashes where the program locks up, and when you click on it, Windows turns the whole program grey and nothing happens, right?

This already happened before. But with a simple uninstall/reinstall became normal. After the last update, it starts like that, grey and unusable (after 3/4 uninstalls/reinstalls). I can minimize/maximize and close Galaxy.
Windows 10 64 bits, i5-6600K, 16GB ram, amd radeon rx480.
client toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow, please fix :)
