Eowung: Hello,

Sorry that my first post has to be a rant but this time i'm fed up with this software !!

I was not really pleased from the beginning with the way it installed itself all over the place without any user control (had to use link junctions to get it of my system SSD).

But yesterday was the last straw : Galaxy started "getting list of files" for "Pillars of Eternity"; that lasted half an hour !!!!
And then it proceded to download 3.6Gb for a 5 Mb patch !
Seriously ?

Are you out of your mind ? Talk about loosing my time !

So i'll just uninstall Galaxy and go back to the old downloader as long as it works.
Just out of curiosity: how big is the patch file for the manual install? Is there any?

Patch 3.07.0.1318 installer is 62MB... And yes, I also had a 3.6GB download through Galaxy shortly after xmas. 0_o

That's weird, I'm used to people complaining about patches only going out to Galaxy, with "manual" users often having to redownload the entire game. I guess the opposite is the case this time around.

We are aware of the issue, and are working on a fix as I write this.
Still, thanks for giving us a heads up.

Venom: 1.2.35 Beta (January 17, 2018)
Changes and Improvements:
- Chromium Embedded Framework was updated to version 62, resulting in improved CPU and memory performance
- Cloud copy of save games will be removed on next sync when local files are removed and quota is exceeded
Bugfixes:
- [MacOS] Fixed a bug with user avatar not being visible after installation
- [Windows] Fixed Unicode support in Galaxy Overlay
Guys, please could you ask what to delete if the quota has been reached giving a list. This way we could decide what's important instead of you randomly deleting stuff. Unless I'm misinterpreting this. I use cloud saves as backups for the saves. This means I can't actually rely on the cloudsaving feature Galaxy has.

Maybe the changelog entry wasn't worded well, but of course we won't delete any of your files (local or remote) without your action.

Once the cloud storage quota is reached for a particular game the automatic sync will stop with an error. Once you _manually_ delete local files, those changes will be synced to the remote storage on next sync.

Due to technical reasons, if the quota is not reached, files removed locally are removed from remote storage after 24h.

So... if I delete a game's saves at any time Galaxy will sync and delete them from the cloud?
Or just after the quota has been reached.

The game needs to provide the option to remove saves. Once you remove a save from the game it will be deleted from the cloud storage after 24h. If you're over the quota for this game, the save will be removed from the cloud immietly, to allow you to upload new saves right away.

If save games will be deleted locally but outside of the game, they will be restored locally from the cloud on next sync.

Ah ok, thanks.
Hey,

we have released GOG Galaxy 1.2.36 today.

The changes we've been keeping on Beta channel are now available to everyone, which, most notably, means lower CPU and memory usage thanks to upgrade of CEF!

It also adds couple bugfixes. More information you can find in the changelog.

Unfortunately new CEF = issues with NVidia drivers for some GPUs: Galaxy's UI is now rendered with HW video acceleration resulting in purple/green corrupt gfx for many users.
Blame CEF HW acceleration incompatibility or Nvidia, but this bug has not been fixed yet and is now affecting not only Chrome UI, GeForce Experience UI, but also Galaxy UI now :(
Example (GeForce Experience image): https://ibb.co/gjEX2m (but it's the same with Chrome and GOG Galaxy, using new CEF)

Windows 10 x64 FCU 1709 (16299.192), Nvidia drivers 390.77 WHQL, GPU 980m
