Trilarion: We should just pretend it was one of this strange anomalies today, like the happen so often in the Star Trek universe. A baby universe...
Ugh, not one of my favorite episodes. Good thing DS9 got so much better starting in Season 3.

How about we call it a temporal causality loop? Then we can meet Kelsey Grammer!
People should know what DRM-Free means before posting this stuff, not only the OP doesn't make sense but it's also full of false accusations.

askteam99: I uh...*Chuckle* Don't much know myself...I think it was just a bit too close to Steam in terms of cosmetic. Step 1. Log into account. Step 2. Install games via client. Step 3. Play game from client....I know I was completely in the wrong to complain and I know it was a stupid complaint. But can you at least see where my thoughts came from? Or am I just crazier then I originally thought?
Well, I don't use Steam (don't even have an account), so can't actually related, but I can understand, to an extend, your train of thoughts.
As far as I know you don't have to play the games from the client (though I have no idea how the "achievements" thing works), so you could still use it just for downloading/ updating.

Perhaps you could try GOG Galaxy on a better day, or if you're sure it's nth for you, forget about it, forget about this thread and carry on like you did before on GOG; no reason to keep beating up yourself, just enjoy playing your games.
The OP is having a bad day and there's no point in pursuing the matter further, moving along...
BANNED.

I would also recommend that OP PM a Blue and ask to have this thread locked. It'll die pretty quickly after that...

Just what the fuck do you suggest as an alternative business model then? Maybe GOG should just ditch accounts and trust people to download only what they've paid for?

The games, derpy. It's the games that have to be DRM-free. Not the fucking client.
The mental gymnastics for the OP must be Olympic scale.
No John. You are the DRM.

Not really IMHO just forgot the importance of the Optional vs. mandatory bit

sorry for beating the dead horse but OP actually invented a concept of "optional DRMs"

quite mind boggling. like a soaking wet rubbery crispy bread.
