It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Haha, nothing beats that feeling of sheer terror as you desperately try to close all the various programs you use to pirate shit because a suspicious sudden browser pop up indicates that you just contracted Internet-AIDS.

Then it turns out it was all just another proud display of gross incompetence by gog! Good show, guys! *salutes*
Hm happens on OSX as well, no recent Galaxy Client updates either, guess its something on the server side.

Nothing happening here on Chrome. Even checking the inspection view reveals nothing odd.
I use Chrome as default and Galaxy also opens facebook when using the forum.
So this makes me intereseted in how much GOG is relying on facebook code. So, is it only the usual login with your facebook account, or does GOG and the galaxy client rely on facebook code for actual delivery of services, like has been suggested here in this thread?

unisol2k1: I was always defending galaxy and gog. But this........this is not OK. Not at all. It shows that our data and our pc's are not safe with gog.
There you go! to any GOG employee or CDP Exec.
-Don't forget we here to support you ethically so please don't use our goodwill for granted.
Your meddling with fb and them gathering our posts in forums is unethical.

Bad GOG bad

Hopefully they get this sorted sooner than later.
There is an update for Galaxy that fixed the glitch.

A Thank-You to support and the devs for a fast fix, but also a disapproving glance for the developers for scaring us in the first place.

I still have this issue. My current Gog Galaxy version is 1.2.54.

EDIT: The update rolled out 2 minutes after I wrote this. It is the version 1.2.55 now.

Are the GOG bears in the process of rolling out another new "feature"? o.O
Thx GOG for the fix.

G2A might as well be a "trusted partner" at this point. lol
Like others said before, after the last update the problem is solved for me as well (version 1.2.55). I was a little bit worried about what's going on, but the thing was in the Facebook's Api apparently.

ShadowOwl: The Facebook login support should be deactivated entirely. It was a terrible idea back when it was introduced (and got a lot of criticism) and things like these show that it still is. GOG should take the privacy of their users way more seriously.
I second this. On one side I thank the GOG devs for patching the issue, but on the other side I'd rather see FB's stuff ousted from Galaxy and the website entirely. I believe I do not say falsehood if I state that GOG users are, at least generally speaking, a more conscious bunch when it comes to privacy matters; DRMs ultimately are also about enabling surveillance and from the get-go GOG has been staunchly and rightfully against them.

Social network logins might be a convenience for some people, but maybe the price all users have to pay for that in terms of loss of privacy does not outweigh the "good aspects" of not having to fill in one more registration form and have to memorise one more username/password pair.
