Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

omega64: Are you sure you don't just have Adalia Fundamentals installed? xD
Bwahahahahahaha! Oh man... you nailed it. I had no idea... LOL I tried to use AF when it first came out or not long after but had conflicts with Barefoot Essentials and some website instability so I had to disable it. It sat here disabled ever since until someone recommended it to me for something last week so I thought what the heck, I'll enable it again... Haven't had any instability since, but I never bothered to go through all the options etc. to see what all features it has either. Now I feel like a doofus. LOL

Ok, I guess I have to redirect my GOG praise to the author of AF now. Oops! :) Still, that was good for an unintentional laugh. :)
EDIT: I can't read. Carry on with your business.

Yesterday I downloaded the absolute most recent files for "Amnesia A Machine for Pigs" using GOG Galaxy Extras Downloads. It is my understanding that this means I should have the absolute most recent current version of the game installer. I manually installed the game and it did not show up in Galaxy automatically even though I've noticed that some other games do automatically show up when you install them manually.

I tried to scan folders to import the game and it was not recognized either. Next I did a manual import via Manage->Import on the game itself and that made it show up in my sidebar finally. Then Galaxy proceeded to verify the file integrity and after several minutes it failed with out of disk error. This puzzled me because both the E: drive where the game is installed as well as my C: drive contained 10GB and 8GB free disk space respectively, and the entire installed game (not compressed) is only 5GB. So there was enough space for Galaxy to download two decompressed copies of the game onto either drive. But... it turns out it was downloading to where _I_ download the installers to, my F: drive and that is indeed full after the haul of games this week.

But, it's important to note that Galaxy wants 10GB of disk space to download files to for a 5GB game, what's up with that? And it also is trying to download those files for a game that is already 100% up to date and which runs perfectly fine when launched from the Start menu instead of via Galaxy (which has it greyed out).

If this was for my own usage right now I'd probably throw my arms in the air, close Galaxy and play the game from the start menu, however this is purely a part of beta testing Galaxy at the moment so I want to try to get past these roadblocks. I juggled files around and freed up 15GB of space on F: by making a disaster on another drive. So, now C: has 8GB free, E: where Galaxy and my games are installed has 10GB free, and F: where I download my game installers and bonus goodies to now has 15GB free. Galaxy should be happy now yay!

So I restart Galaxy, and suddenly it wants me to log in manually and has completely forgot my email and password as if I'm launching it for the first time, even though I have actually launched it about 40 times today (lots of restarts for beta test stuff). Then it also forced me to complete a 2 factor authentication step via email too, which was very very odd, telling me this is a new device when it is not, I've used the same device all along. Anyhow, beta == bugs so, I do the 2FA and now finally it is scanning Amnesia again.

After it scans it, it no longer complains about disk space and it starts downloading updates to the game. 1GB of updates, that is one gigabyte. What the.... It made me free up 10GB of disk space in order to download 1GB of updates for a 5GB game that is already fully updated? Is this some weird kind of GOGmath I'm unfamliar with? :)

Well, it completed that wasteful 1GB download, but now I am wondering - why did it need to download any data at all let alone 1GB of data, when I have the most recent version of the game installer and it is not corrupt or broken at all and the game already ran fine? Does this mean the version of our games offered by Galaxy include more files/data than what we get in the installers? Are the installers not fully up to date and offering older versions than what is available through Galaxy?

Curious minds want to know! :) Seriously, none of this should happen IMHO. Something is definitely broken.

Update: I launched the game from Galaxy and it worked finally. I exited Galaxy and restarted it and the game vanished from the sidebar and is no longer recognized apparently. <sigh>

Update2: I had to re-import the game a second time now, however this time everything did the same thing, but it only downloaded a few megabytes and not 1GB. This seems to confirm my suspicion that the files for the game offered by Galaxy seem to be 1GB larger than whatever you get if you install via the installer, unless there is some other logical explanation. But the second import did not redownload 1GB, meaning it's recognizing whatever was missing the first time as being there now.

Update3: Ok, I've imported this game twice into Galaxy where it recognized it and let me launch it. Exiting the game then exiting Galaxy and restarting Galaxy causes the game to completely vanish and need to be reimported every single time Galaxy restarts.

At this point I think I'm done trying to test this game, and declaring "doesn't work". :)

Just a simple question: Will GOG ever decide how they want to sort games with "the" in title?

It is "Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, The" and "Wolf among us, The" but it is also "The Marvellous Miss Take" and "The Book of unwritten Tales 2"

Unfortunately Galaxy is sorting those accordingly so the whole sort order is kind of a mess.

MarkoH01: Just a simple question: Will GOG ever decide how they want to sort games with "the" in title?
Is there a reason why GOG simply doesn't change the "The" placement for all games? Do some developers / publishers refuse to put the "The" at the end? Marketing reasons?
I ended up blowing away my Galaxy install completely, wiping the ProgramData dir and the Galaxy client install folder after it was uninstalled, then reinstalled it and scanned all my installed games. One thing I just noticed is that all of my game time tracking is completely reset to zero now. I'm not sure if this is considered a feature or a bug as I assumed Galaxy was storing that data locally and then on GOG's servers when it was able to connect to the service, but now that does not appear to be the case.

It's certainly a nice feature for the customer to be able to erase/reset their game time tracking if desired, but I assumed that by default it would be tracked server-side, not just client side. As such, all of my games appear to have never been ran before. This is true for both games I have ran since I reinstalled Galaxy as well as those which I have not ran yet since the galaxy reinstall.

Can someone from GOG let me know if this is by design or a bug, as I don't want to waste both our time filing a bug report if it is by design. :)

It should be. I'm testing on two machines, and after importing on the second, it does give me the few minutes of playtime I had on the other. Will have to verify that and get back to you tomorrow, but that is the behavior I noticed.
Perhaps it needs some time to update the display?

I've had the client running on and off for beta tests for hours now and all my games show 0m of gameplay except the ones I'm testing which only show the few minutes I've been testing them, but which had many many hours of gameplay previously. I had about 38-40hrs of gameplay in King's Bounty The Legend, but right now it shows ... um... crap... it's showing 40 hours now. LOL Maybe you're right. :)

Yeah, I just went through the installed library and it does indeed seem to have finally updated the game times. Thanks for the info, I think I can chock it off now to intended behaviour albeit perhaps taking a bit long to sync the data over.

It would also be nice to have a way to reset the gameplay timer though for various reasons, such as beta testing things, starting a brand new game and wanting to track its time separately etc. Hopefully that's a feature that comes at some point although it's pretty low priority compared to important stuff needing doing. :)

They're working on the code for "A" currently, then proceeding alphabetically from there. "The" is much further in the alphabet so it'll take a while. :)

Can't say, under NDA. :)
Hey can we please make paused games stay paused until I CHOOSE to resume them? That would be stellar... I dislike having to pause my pending downloads every time I restart the client.
Hi all

For when you start testing a Linux version, I'm an experienced C software developer, familiar with RPM packaging, good with a debugger and I'm interested in being involved in testing.

Got any kind of list you can add me to for when you're rolling out alphas?
