Damnation: I must evidently have messed something up then, let me know which posts you have made your unvote in for and I will rectify it.
Haha, ninja'd by 17 minutes!

Nah, we will lynch someone because...he/she/it is a WITCH http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrzMhU_4m-g

Rodzaju: Which timezone?
GMT+1 - I'll include this in future votecounts, as I should have included it from the beginning. Please forgive my newbish mistake :)

Damnit, I read this this without looking at the link and went to look for the script for that scene <.<

I think we lost ourselves to insanity though
Well I guess the "can we vote for unknown player" idea was dropped :) Was also wondering why so many needed to vote for the unknown to test out that theory :P

Well we hadn't had a vote count, so we didn't know our votes were getting redirected to nolynch. We wanted to see what happened when we reached a majority.

Did we? o.O; I wanted to see how it would show up in the votecount first, then if the votes were counting, encourage people to apply more pressure... As Vitek said, at the moment this is a detriment.

A read update then, as promised:

Leaning town: nmillar, Vitek, Damuna
nmillar and vitek's clash still feels like two edgy townies sparring, but Rodzaju's input feels like either part of the grudge match, or an attempt to get behind the wagon... Moved to the Leaning Scum pile to be on the safe side. Damuna's arguments in #458 make sense. Not sure about the wisdom of attacking the setup at this point though.

Unsure: Primal, stoicsentry
Stoic's "What, you don't have a read on me yet?" moment in #317 still stands out for me, and most recently Primal's assumption that the voting on Unknown was with the intention of actually lynching them also seems off.

Leaning scum: Rodzaju, Robbeasy
Rod I explained above; I don't like Robb's #442 and subsequent lack of defense. It reads like a mafia who's been caught out.

???: pazzer, xzyem, Penut, Jefe, Baron, TwilightBard, Detlik, Quad.
No strong thoughts for the moment.

Unknown: Unknown
Curse you.

SirPrimalform: Unless by piling votes on them we might get them to own up. <.<

NotFrenchYet: That's worth a shot, actually. Push the system and see what sticks. >:)

Unvote TwilightBard
Vote Unknown

Can I get a straight-up Votecount please Mr Mod? On the rocks, with a little umbrella on a stick?

@Robb, you weren't the only one to try and call Damuna out on her play/ploy and decide she's mafia - she currently has four votes - but you were the one who really attempted to start a wagon going.
Like I explained when I put the post up - the intention is to be strong and provoke discussion and movement, not namby-pamby around and let the deadline creep up on us.

Do I really think Damuna is Mafia? Possibly not, its a thin but unexplained move by her. If it was a deliberate ploy to provoke discussion then I applaud her - thats what we're supposed to do, which is why I made the strong post! To make a slip like that and then say 'aha! it was all a trap' is a bit weak though , IMHO.
Also, NFY - caught out?? Caught out at what ? Making my own strong post??!......

Now we have the 'unknown' vote thrown into the mix - personally I can't believe anyone who is a secret player / has a secret voting power like this would reveal it this early into the game unless forced to by some sort of posting restriction / rule by the MOD. A read back through is the order of the day today for me to see if theres anything to pick up on which might give me clues as to why the unknown has revealed themselves quite so early...

cracking idea to vote for 'unknown' by the way - good job MOD told us it was being redirected to 'nolynch' before we got to majority!

@Rod - why this obsession with the MODs doings? Just seems an odd thing to be worried about, what PM's he sends out. All MODS are different....

Well... I was.

It hadn't actually occurred to me to see what happened with the votecount and if unknown didn't come out of the woodwork then I was in favour of lynching them.

As NFY said, I didn't intend to lynch unknown player. I wanted to see if it is possible to vote him and then probably to pressure him enough to get him confess.

@ NFY; how does Damuna's arguments make sense? And really, I want you to answer this. How is mass-claim or name-claim supposed to help us? If we will find someone is named John Lennon what are we doing to do with it? Ask for autograph?

Why do we need to know if everyone is musician? If someone claims producer or something are we going to lynch him because Damuna decided so?

How can she know we won't see band duplications? Saying such things only reeks of inside info. She even tried to guess mafia names without knowing any, is it supposed to be serious?

That post is only bunch of speculations and guessing which are of no use right now and if we agreed to claim some things it would be even worse. It would lead be even more guessing.
This will just lead us away from scum-hunting and most likely we won't gain nothing by it.

I'd also like to point out that she tried to take opening kill of game from mafia and account it to SK or sole person and then went and said she doesn't assume there is third party role.

My main question about it is, how is this guessing going to help us catch scum? SPF supported idea of mass-claim by saying it will lock scums into claims but Damuna was opposed to role-claim in her post so we are going to lock people into names? Really?

I wouldn't say I supported it:

avatar
SirPrimalform: Hmm... while Damuna is technically correct that now would be the best time for a mass claim (in that it locks the mafia into a claim very early), I can't help but think of a mass claim as a late game emergency measure.
I mean that although that bit of what she said was true, I didn't think it was necessarily a good idea.

Yes, you suported her and said it's best time for mass-claim, then you backed out by saying you are used that mass-claim usually comes later. And you said it locks mafia into claim. How does name-claim restricts mafia?
