It was the last week of my 'employability' course so I've been pretty busy, plus I had a gig on monday night and went to a session on wednesday. The good news is that now I have more time. I don't feel or look any more employable though. =(

Perhaps it only takes effect when I get the certificate?

I kinda have to ask though, what are you looking for? A specific reason why I posted that? I'm kinda confused by it.

As far as NFY's post, and a reply, I really only have 2 major points to bring up.

- As far as a weak argument undermining your whole case...maybe it's how I see it, but it does make you look at things with a more critical eye instead of being more accepting. And, I do think you overreacted at all to turn it into a point (Which, btw, I was the other person he mixed up, besides you.) To be honest that's why I did my whole point by point post. This one argument was the reasoning because I thought that if that was there, and it really did stand out, then the stuff I was willing to accept might not be as strong as I thought.

- As far as the OMGUS vote...I think this is one time when Your Mileage May Vary, or again, I am seeing things a bit differently. When I think of OMGUS I think of an argument that doesn't exist and a return vote with very little behind it. I actually read Stoic as trying to cover his ass...

I guess, I'm just really suspicious at this point. I'm more then a little paranoid and the people popping up and hiding again are putting me more on edge then I probably should be. This is turning out to be a very hard game to read.

In addition to that, it doesn't make much sense for anyone to defend scumbuddies in this game, anyway.

Right now, we need almost a unanimous vote among active players. So the best way to handle it if a scumbuddy is in trouble is merely to say *nothing*, as far as I can tell. You simply withhold your vote against them and they will probably be fine.

And if there were actually 3 mafia among the active (we agree, that's unlikely), then this point holds true even more so. Take all the active players, subtract 3 mafia not voting for each other and there's no way there would be a day lynch.

Yeah, well, that's all just idle speculation, really. The point is that there are way too many inactive players, which means we're hopelessly stuck.

Damnation, we absolutely need mod intervention. Replacements, modkills, something.

Yeah, apart from Rob asking to be replaced, Xzyem has been gone for a month today.

Apologies again for inactivity. Coursework and exam revision are piling up at this point. I've tried reading over things and keeping up, but... well, that led to the sentence that made a lot more sense in my head before I typed it in my previous post, which I put together at around 8 before lectures.

Yeah, but the mod is missing.

I'm not supporting a policy lynch. The deadline should be extended, anyway, because we've been severely crippled for a very long time now. A forced lynch wouldn't solve anything at all; no new information, right back at square one.

Maybe we lynch xzyem and see if that shakes something loose? Does that make sense? I'm thinking it either makes perfect sense or no sense at all, but I'm not sure which.

But even if the deadline is extended we'll just be prolonging this same torture. Unless both are modkilled and we extend, this still leaves us going in circles.

You're absolutely right, but I have been very distressed about what to do in this situation, which has led to my absence.

The issue is I am most definately sure I am unable to find replacements for the players that are absent, and I am not one for modkilling (Killing off Damuna was tough enough on me already).

Considering that we have a selection of players still going, and that I fear I am powerless myself in this situation, I must ask all of you - would you like to see this game continueing?

If the answer is yes, the deadline will be extended for as long as necessary, as Rob has to be replaced, xzyem and QuadrAlien are absent and others are not very active (I know most try to hit the day-between-posts requirement).

So yeah, I need you guys' input on this, as I feel powerless myself in this situation.

I hate the thought of giving up on a game & view this as very much a last resort.
However, this game has limped along for a while now....

It has, but I don't think it's quite dead, we've started getting more jolts of activity...

I do have one suggestion...what about bringing nmillar and Vitek back as replacements for Rob and say, xzyem? Quad has posted so he's not an immediate flight risk, and I'm not sure what nmillar got back as his night action. But, we'd have some vocal people again.
