It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hi guys!
I've recently installed the gog downloader, but its not working! It stays at the screen displayed without responding. (see the attached image)
I've tried reinstalling Adobe Air and the gog downloader, but the problem remains. Anyone got a clue?

Hi. I see that this is your first post, so welcome :)

This thread is about the old Air-based official downloader which has been discontinued for some time.

The new official downloader is much better (mainly by virtue of not requiring Adobe Air) and can be downloaded here. Open up the zip file, put the downloader .exe somewhere (the Desktop is a good place for most) and then run it.

If you run into any problems don't hesitate to ask again on the forum.

There are also some alternative downloaders listed here if you want to try something different.

Okay, so.. read somewhere about getting .Net 3.5 so I did that but I think it's stupid because I'm on XP SP3 and it will auto update back to the latest..

I think what may have happened was in browser was on account/beta rather than just account.. weird but i think reverting back to just gog/account in browser url worked. Downloader seemed to work after that.

So to clarify; if somehow you end up on gog.com/account/beta just go back to gog.com/account/ and the downloader should work again now i think in my case.

and no i dont have adobe air or whatever

Based on the dates of the previous posts, this thread is quite certainly a necro...
Tried the first step on this page

http://www.gog.com/support/support_view/gog_com_downloader_issues

And no solution. I guess the software does not work? For me it doesnt even start. It says its stopped working.

I had this problem for over 2 years and none of the downloaders works.
