elesea: My GOG Downloader won't work. Every time I try to download a game, I get the message:

"GOG.com Downloader has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

I am using the newest version of the Downloader 3.0.25.

I have tried uninstalling both the Downloader and Adobe Air, clearing out any files on my computer related to both, and clearing any related registry entries. I then restarted the computer and reloaded the Downloader but I get the same message no matter what.

If anyone could help me I'd be so very grateful and I am very worried about not being able to download my new games.

Best wishes, Elese
Ok, first of all, does the downloader crash for you when you add games to the queue? If the downloader starts without any game on the list, does it work fine?

Use this tool to verify that you your .NET 3.5 SP1 is installed correctly:

Remove the contents of the Roaming\GOG.com folder and try re-running the app. Send me the newly created logger.log if the app will still crash.

elesea: Fallen Zen is a STAR!!!

The solution is so trivial I am embarassed to mention it.

I was trying to save the game to my Program Files directory instead of my documents/desktop environment.

All solved! Thanks everyone who pitched in, I am not very good with computers and I am very grateful to you all :)
Well, we'll make the Downloader to tell you if it has access privileges to the chosen path or not in the upcoming update :) This will avoid problems for anyone else.
