The biggest announcement in GOG.com's history is a fact! Electronic Arts grants access to its deep back catalogue of classic franchises via yours truly GOG.com!

In a ground-breaking, earthshaking, and jaw-dropping deal we've managed to sign with EA and will be releasing more than 25 legendary classics from the globally renowned publisher. With today’s announcement three widely known and much awaited brands get the revival treatment from GOG.com: Wing Commander: Privateer, Dungeon Keeper and Ultima Underworld 1+2.

We will be adding more than 25 titles from EA over the next few months, so the games will be unveiled gradually, but we can already reveal that the next upcoming titles from this huge deal are: Crusader: No remorse, Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri and Magic Carpet.

While the agreement between Electronic Arts and GOG.com brings back many acclaimed and well known franchises, it doesn’t include the much anticipated System Shock or Syndicate series at this time. After releasing the first six Electronic Arts classics, we will take a break from the concentrated awesome until later in the summer.
Now that they've got Crusader: No Remorse, they need to release Crusader: No Regret.

This will probably come after the big staycation sale sometime this late summer/early fall.

That'd be awesome, I love these games. I wish they'd make a third one.

I only played them as abandonware sadly, without cutscenes and mid mission stuff, and never finished them fully....yet even I agree on this.

It'd have to be in the same isometric style too. It just wouldn't work otherwise, I don't think.

naomha: Educated and researched. Thanks. Although, by reading the 2nd article, it does seem that EA could indeed resurrect the franchise if they wanted. I'm sure the EA lawyers could make magic happen if they really wanted it to. Legal mumbo jumbo is all in a days work over at EA.
It's probably just an issue of buying them out. Hopefully it gets sorted out.

If not, maybe LulzSec will steal the source code for us.

Who knows? A good simplistic fps/tps could work.....if done right. Maybe make it similar to SS2 style.
Not sure if this was mentioned before, but in this interview TheEnigmaticT says that we're getting more Wing Commander games, more Ultima games, Lands of Lore series and Sim City series.

There was a thread about the interview, but for some reason it hasn't gotten very much attention. Anyway, I think this is great news... looking forward to SimCity 2000.

GameRager: It's not that easy though.....and dude, we get that you want SS so much(as we all do to a degree) that you're willing to ignore all logic and reason, but have patience lad. The best is yet to come, after all. :)
Who's ignoring logic and reason? GoG is releasing some EA back catalogue stuff and I simply was wondering about the SS and Undying franchise. I had already stated that I had SS2 downloaded, installed and patched to win7. Yeah, I'm a fan, but damn, you make me out to be a fanboy. If commenting on others replies makes me ignorant or something, well, damn, I better go check myself quick.

Never meant to imply any of that, just that we should all be patient and hope for the best is all. :)
Speaking of ss2, how can you patch it to run on win 7?
