i just want to throw a big rock in microsoft's lawn by telling that win7/vista suppose to run all games by default !!!! just like win xp does.
I just dont like reading this as win7 "accomplishment" -> old games work on win7/vista
boo :)
Problems with Kingpin wont work although looking into this.
Games that work
Divine Divinity works no problem
Darkfall the Journey
Ill update as i go along now with 105 games from gog so will take a wee while.
DNMP registers twice in Games EXplorer once with the simple gog.com profile then later as a legacy title. GOG.com needs to go back and write proper DEF files for Games Explorer for all of the titles. But All of the apogee games work in 7.

Hmmm, you can't delete that icon of DNMP? Also, that's Vista. :P
I can hide but not remove it if i remove the reg data for that one it just pops back up when i run the game the next time.
I dunno if this has been said but..maybe it'd be better to post games that aren't working on Win7. :)
So far none of them are working in the games explorer for me, but I haven't ran into a game that flat out didn't work.
Reporting that after an upgrade from vista the gog entries lost there pictures.
After an upgrade to 7 from Vista? Wow, thats lame. If you could though, you might want to do a clean install. That guarantee you a trouble free install, usually. What I do for games is I have them on another partition/hard drive...though I need to reinstall all of them because I just wiped that drive recently.
None of the GOG games have installed correctly on 7 for me. I mean, the games work, but they don't work in GE.
I received an upgrade only dvd from dell i only got vista to get 7 and it seems that gog.com did not support the game explorer code right. then again i ended up with two links to wolfenstine 3d and Microsoft took out the ability to edit the shortcut files associated with the games.
You should be able to do a clean install with that disc still though. You just have to boot it from the bios. If not, you can get an iso from MS and use your key. That's what I had to do with the student edition.

Back on topic is gog.com planning to retest all of the titles for windows 7 compatbilty because so far the games i have do not seem to be real profiles the show up as dragged in shortcuts rather than regestered GDF files.http://www.advancedinstaller.com/games-explorer.html

Commandos, The Incredible Machine, Ground Control 2, and The Longest Journey are examples of games that ARE correctly registered into Games Explorer through GDF files - there are more but I cannot confirm them at the moment, and those that do not register are being updated one after another, it's just a matter of time. I assume (but again, cannot confirm) that all games since some time ago do register a GDF file at install time.
how do i find out if a game has an fixed installer will gog.com notify me by e-mail.

Nope. Major fixes (such as games working when they didn't before) will inevitably be announced on the forum, but an insignificant thing like Games Explorer compatibility is hardly worth noting.
