GOG.com's Agreement with Team 17 ‘Worms Up’ the Cold Days of January.

2012 will be filled with great new things coming to GOG.com, and first up, we’re expanding our catalog with some of the tremendous Team 17's classic titles.

Team 17's offerings on GOG.com start with the most lovable (and lethal) annelids of the gaming world in the unforgettable and quintessential tactical artillery shooter Worms United – a special edition of Worms 1 with the expansion Worms Reinforcements for $5.99. We’re not just giving you one game today, though. You will also want to use some heavy weaponry to fight a different kind of invertebrates--the squicky space alien kind--in Alien Breed and Alien Breed Tower Assault available now for just $5.99 as well.

Today's releases should keep you busy while we bring some more goodness from Team 17 in the next week: Superfrog and World Rally Fever: Born on the Road. We’ll be bringing you more games from their catalog later on this year.

Pick up Worms United and Alien Breed + Alien Breed: Tower Assault for just $5.99 each today on GOG.com!

Welcome Team 17, hope even more publishers decide to sign up this year.

Worms is an instant purchase. Huzzah for SUPERFROG!!! One of my beloved platformers during the Amiga days.

Two eventual purchases for sure!

I don't know much about Superfrog but I love platformers so I'll be looking out for that. Never heard of World Rally Fever but I like the art.
Really awesome news! love those games and I still have Worms United boxed with the addon diskett ! :D

keremix: someone punch me in the face! did they say superfrog????

is pc release as good as the amiga one?
I can't think of any Amiga game from the early 90s that was superior on the PC. The Commodore Amiga, with built in SVGA and stereo sound was years ahead of its time. Everything from Ultima 5 to the SSI Gold Box games to Nuclear War (New World Computing) to Leisure Suit Larry 3 (why aren't those games in the GOG catalog anyway?)simply looked, played, and sounded much better on the Amiga than on the PC. I wish GOG would work with Cloanto, who owns the legal rights to Commodore Amiga and 64 emulation, and start focusing on resurrecting classics from other platforms.
Very good news indeed!
Now release Worms 2 ASAP! :D
Great info GOG. I was waiting for Worms to be here (sad thing is I got no money after last promo). Also I am very suprised with Superfrog. I played this on Amiga and I loved it!! Thanks gog!

unfortunately this is true for most of the amiga games... but still trying to find out if superfrog dos release is one of the exceptions
Eh, a pass from me this time, GOG. I'm happy that you're making all these other guys happy though! :D
Great news! Team17 kicked seven shades of arse on the Amiga. I hope that their PC output lives up to that.
Team 17 = "Worms" series! Heck yeah! :D
