iippo: 1st season my norse vs Piran's underworld ended me causing her 2 deaths, 9 casulties and 2 KO's, while i suffered one casulty and 2 KO's.

rcthedigitalhero: I can only imagine that game was incredibly cringe-worthy from an audience standpoint. :P
Not only from an audience standpoint.

But looking back I have to say that I needed that match. I started to play smarter afterwards, and it also taught me that I can bounce back although things might look gloom.

In the end I sustained 49 CAS and 7 DEATHS last season while I only played 11 of 13 matches.

And I'm still having fun and am excited for this season. :-D

rcthedigitalhero: It would seem my game against Mefet next week has become "The battle of the broken teams".
Well, more like two weeks, no? Isn't the second round in the 3rd of July?
And yes, I have one of my key players out for the next match, a lineman who also can't play, and another lineman got killed, so It's going to be one of those matchs when the rerolls are not that important, with so many players having problems with them :P

Generally, when we talk about weeks here, we mean game weeks, which often but not always correspond to real weeks...

just as a funny side note. As mentioned earlier, i tried amazons for the first on naggaroth yesterday. On two matches of three, the replacement journeymen got the mvp. Actually one of them got levelup and i did not have the money to recruit her :/

Its really silly actually actually - after three matches the most experience player was loner journeywoman.

I think the biggest thing that makes me fail on Naggaroth is the 2min/per turn. Its just not enough. I lag behind and end up doing stupid things. Especially hard for vamps, because you get that bloodlust selection thingie quite often - sometimes more than once per turn and if the time runs out before you manage to click the thrall next to you, the vamp takes off to crowd :(

Bomber Dribblesnot the Star Player got the MVP in one of my matches. XD
It's a bit annoying that you only get the winnings of that match AFTER you had the option to buy the journeymen in the online league. It's different in the table top..
I'm trying to wrap my head around 49 CAS and 7 DEAD.

I feel like there's quite an excellent chance I shatter those numbers.

Well, the High Elf team had more DEAD (9) but less CAS (28), and the Goblin team had more CAS (50) but less DEAD (4), if I counted correctly.
I didn't do the tally for all teams though.

Still frightening, considering my Humans can be squishy.

excluding catchers, human team is solid av8 + four block players + optional ogre. Id say durabilitywise humans are not bad at all. Quite few other teams have to start with less av and less block so dont go thinking human are somehow underdogs. They can win bashing matches roughly against half the teams and while they cant easily out bash "proper bashers", they dont have to be overly cautious about manmarking either.

Yeah, the only issue is the linemen don't start with squat, so SPP generation is crucial among those guys. But it's a delicate act for the reason that linemen are cheap labor and until they get those first skills, they are largely space-fillers since they lack a cornerstone skill to build off of right away.

*lightbulbs are going off in my head* I'm gonna need to sleep on this idea, but I think I might have just had a breakthrough.
It was a bag of mixed sausages

The elves picked heads and choose to receive.
The elves team were servery disadvantaged with an early ko, Followed by another.

Yet, they persevered, they slipped through enemy lines and with a miracle dice of 5+ roll, The blitzer caught a hand off, dodged to an empty space that was covered by 3 TZ, and passed the ball easily to a waiting 2nd blitzer whom did an early touch down.

When the next ball was kicked, it looked bad for the elves as they desperately tried to hold back the opposition with only 9 players. Thanks to the efforts of the brave thrower, (whom got badly injured), the ball carrier dropped the ball, and failed to pick it up twice in a row.

Thus, half time ended in 1-0

In the second half, the elves failed to stop the chaos team from scoring, getting a 2nd badly hurt player in the process.
1-1

It was the final 2 turns of the game, the elves received the ball. They positioned their players for a 2 turn touchdown...
and on the final turn, the ball was launched!

3+ roll! a 2! REROLL! A 2!

And thus, the game ended.
(even if it was passed, opponent just had to roll a 6 to get the ball, nerves of steel means he had a good chance of getting the ball though, dodging was a 2+)
The match between Ghiro's Ogre Team "Big & heavy Fists" and E_A's Dark Elf Team "Nagarythe Decadence" started a few minutes ago.

I just finished making myself some food which means so far I could only judge the match by the curses coming from the living room.
