I'm in for Broken Sword. Remember that it was a freebie way back but with me basically having sworn off adventures I didn't take it, though after that I took basically everything until they started automatically signing you up for the newsletter if you do recently, at which point I finally started choosing again. But for the past couple of years I've been playing a few adventures again, and rather regret not having this one, since I remember having some interest in it back in the day, so might as well throw my name in the hat here.

As for memory... Bonding experiences are few and tend to involve personal information that's not mine to share. As for arguments, oh, a whole lot of those, some particularly ugly, but let's leave those aside... But I'll go with an early moment with my... ex. Don't know if it counts, call it either or neither, but it was a tiny thing that left a mark:
Just about 20 years ago (damn...), not long after we met, she was here and a last bit of some chocolate had been left for a while, and I just went to the fridge and ate it, and she made a pissed off face and said "it shows you're an only child, didn't even think of sharing". And that struck me. Considering my view of relatives, the "only child" part bounced off, but she made a point not just about sharing in general, but about thinking of the ways in which your actions, even the tiniest things, can affect others before doing anything.
As an adamant environmentalist, and not only, that mindset has developed much since then, but I'd say that moment was an important building block in its foundation.
Not in.

Thanks for giveaway and I want to say that I really appreciate the way you post in newsletter discounts thread. This makes checking promotions much faster. Thank you.

In - Broken Sword Director's Cut

I once had a quarrel with my cat that I took inspiration from to win a dispute with the rest of my family over when to put up the Christmas tree.

The source of the quarrel with my cat was a shelf next to a window. For an indoor-only cat, this is prime real estate as the window had a southern exposure thus was perfect for lounging on. I had stuff that I wanted to put there, which meant that my cat just pushed it all onto the floor. I would keep putting my stuff back on the shelf, only to find it tossed back onto the floor the next time the cat went into the room. The cat wasn't stupid and do things like open doors with round knobs. The cat just decided that their need for lounging on the shelf exceeded my need for having my stuff there such that my stuff would continue to be tossed onto the floor until I gave up.....

As for that Christmas tree dispute, I wanted to set it up on November 1st while the only thing that the rest of my family could agree on was that no Christmas tree should be set up any sooner than the day after Thanksgiving. However some wanted push it out further to December 1st or even December 20th....

So this is where I used cat logic from the prior dispute....

When November 1st came around, I just brought the artificial tree in from the garage, set it up and started decorating it on my own. The first few years of doing this, I got mocked something to the extent of that nobody was going to help me with it. It didn't matter as I still won because nobody was going to be anti-Christmas by taking it down either.

The Christmas tree dispute continues to happen every year, but I keep winning it every year by doing the same thing to the extent that they've grudgingly started helping out if only because I was intentionally leaving off all the ornaments that I don't like.
Thank you all for your stories thus far! A small update:
• Considering the turnout, I'm going to stick with the tentative end date I listed originally: January 15th, 10 PM UTC. That means approximately 20 hours left.
• I meant to say there's only one prize per person. If you're interested in multiple games, you're free to list them in order of preference. Apologies if this caused any confusion. I'll read over the thread again before the end. There's still a bit of time left to edit your post if needed.

To have a valid entry, please edit in one standout memory of bonding or quarreling with a friend or family member. The description is open to a smidge of creative interpretation, as demonstrated in the replies.

Oh, you're quite welcome. I honestly didn't know if anyone was getting any use out of those. Would you prefer if I switched to prices in USD?

It is perfect as it is. There is a percentage discount, expiry date and links to the promotional page and the games themselves if needed in one place. With this information, currency doesn't matter. You do it better than GOG community managers. For me, your post is more convenient than GOG's newsletter.
