ydobemos: Just a short animation with no dialogue, but...well, just watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdUUx5FdySs

I don't like horror games, so Age of Wonders 2 if I'm the lucky one, please.
So, just curiousity makes me ask this but exactly what about this video is sad or makes anyone cry?
And secondly, what exactly is the point of what the strange bird is doing? He ties a rope to a tree and then hammers the tree to a side of a cliff, removed the rope and then goes flying?
Someone with more sense than me please explain what was going on in the video and why it was so sad please. I was anticipating getting emotional, not confused. Thanks in advance.

Maybe the poster was the one who made this and it and he then failed his course and that made him cry?

Seems to be a flightless Kiwi that desperately wants to fly. If you ponder the futility of the situation for a while, it can make you pretty sad. I would have liked it better without the thud at the end, though - forces the viewer to reach the inevitable conclusion.

Exactly. Kiwi are flightless birds. So this little kiwi wanted to fly but couldn't. So he decided to hammer trees on to a hill and then "flew" through them, finally fulfilling his wish, knowing at the same time what his final fate would be.

Someone has come up with an alternative theory about that - see http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/WMG/Kiwi
