JDelekto: Awwww, come on now, you could do it. I would be afraid of getting stuck with something like Tetris.

tinyE: Or Sim City
Just make a selection of titles like I did. Come on, it will be fun. ;)

Back in the day, when I played Sim-Earth, the robots became sentient and left the planet.

I only just now heard of that game. I gotta give that a go.

Wow, really? BTW, I wasn't kidding about the robots becoming sentient and leaving the planet.

It seems that nobody wants to choose a game for you, so I will do it. Once again it's something that I've really enjoyed when I played it years ago.

PaterAlf:
Challenge accepted! =)
I'll keep you guys posted.
Done with Escape Goat. It was fun until last levels from The Final Path and Quarry of Insanity.

Total time: 4 hours and 24 minutes, 63/65 rooms completed. Died 502 times!

It's a nice game. I'm usually not so happy with platformers, as i'm getting frustrated pretty quick. Good thing that it's very smooth. I tried playing Dustforce, for example, and it was an achievement to pass the tutorial, as controls were very bad. Not the case with Escape Goat. It controls very nice, you don't have crazy mechanics like wall-jump.
I must say that i did not felt those 502 deaths as frustrating as i was expecting. Except those two final levels, others felt good. It's nice that it shows you that statistic at the end of the game.
Not too much story, some kinky things with some sheep, didn't got into it too much.

I recommended it, especially if you would like to play an platformer, but you are usually annoyed by things like Super Meat Boy.

@Tannath - feel free to pick my next game please:

Gnostic: Play 3, then 1 then 2.

Save the best for the last
avatar
Tallima: I used to do that but now that I've lived half my life, I've decided to only play the best, the unique and the unusual.

My backlog was created out of two things: attempting to buy play time and getting bundles and not trading away the games I won't play. I quit doing those and now I'm very satisfied.

Don't feel like you have to beat a game. Just enjoy it. If it's not worth finishing for you, it might just not be worth finishing. The journey is usually better than the end. But man, it is a good feeling when you get to the end.
I want to do that, but my OCD keep nagging at me that I may miss out a fun game. What if the reviewer just don't like these elements but I like. And best is just a matter of perspective.

So I thought a few hours in games less favorable by reviewers will quell my OCD, and most of the time I find my OCD correct.

Will do! This one will take you much longer for sure, but I had such a great time with it that I have to recommend it: Psychonauts.

Hope you have a controller. Keyboard controls are not the best.

I would like to join this club!

I need someone to select a game from the gog catalog for me to play. My only request is that it was released before the year 2004. (I'm itching to play an older game)

I guess I'm hoping someone will choose a game that they've played in the past that they really liked, but there are no real rules for me besides the pre 2004 requirement. Thanks in advance!

I'm not a member, so can't really help make your mind for you, but in the words of tinyE: "NWN Complete".

On a serious note, if anyone does say NWN Complete, maybe they should recommend 1 or 2 good modules instead of the OC's. I completed NWN's OC, SoU and HotU and found all of them pretty dull and wouldn't recommend anyone slog through them like I did :P

RE: Dustforce, when did you play it last? Was it before the DX upgrade or after? Just curious :)

After. Few weeks ago. I didn't bother in trying it with controller, maybe it would have worked a little better, but with keyboard it felt awful to me.
