Nymes: Congratulations! I am very glad you liked it :-)
For your next game, I suggest Tales of Maj'Eyal. It's recommended by Judas, after all - I actually don't know much about it ;-)
Challenge accepted!
I've played beginning of the game a bit as a Dwarf Berserker. I like fighter character for the first playing in any RPGs, because it is usually easy to learning game compared to wizard type :D
I finished the beginning dungeon quest and went to the surface map.
Also having played sword of the stars a bit , I realized this game is not my cup of tea. The 3D strategy map was too confusing to fleet micro management. I'm tired.haha.

Tales of Maj'Eyal is a great game for sure with lots of stuff to discover. I hope you'll enjoy it.

The first few times I've played the game I chose a Dwarf Berserker as well, but I never got very far (I think level 10 was the highest I made with that class). After that I've tried several other classes and the best result so far was made with a Summoner. This class is weak in the beginning and will never become good melee fighters, but once you've got the ability to summon more than one creature most enemies won't even get close enough to touch you.

Just now my dwarf died at level 9 by many assassins after rejected their proposal to join in.lol.
I will use a summoner when activated it. Thanks!

I've finally completed Age of Wonders. The last mission was pretty easy, because in the end I was allied with the humans and the elves and only had to wait for them to kill each other. When the elves were already pretty weak, I declared war, killed their leader and the game was over.

The end was quite sad though. I was able to bring peace to the world, but it came at a very high price (personally and for some of the races). I think I will have to play again in the future to find out if there is a better end when I choose different allies.

Have to say that I absolutely loved this game and that it became one of my all-time favourites. I guess I have to get the sequels at some point to find out if they are equally good.

With this game completed I can concentrate on the assigned Return to Castle Wolfenstein now.

Congratulations for beating Age of Wonders!
My end for this game was a rather peaceful one, as I chose the Dwarves over the Lizardmen. It's nice to see that it actually matters which faction you choose! I heard that Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic is supposed to be the best title of the series. The recent Age Of Wonders 3 is also thought to be a strong entry.

Meanwhile...
Progress update on Lands of Lore: The Throne of Chaos
Assigned by PaterAlf

I just managed to defeat Scotia and have thus completed the game! While venturing through the Opinwood and the Gorkha Swamp I managed to collect the first two ingredients for the elixir, a key and also the Ruby of Truth.
Afterwards, my party headed to the Urbish Mines, where a particular powerful monster awaited. I could only damage it using two magical green skulls, yet the game gave me no information whatsoever on them. I had to look that up online, as I just did not know how to get around this particular foe.
In the mines I found Paulson, knight of the king and now third member of my party. I also found the third ingredient. The next stop was the city of Yvel in which I found the last component. My party ventured to the White Tower in which the elixir had to be made but it was full of strong monsters, especially some ridiculously powerful ghosts. Again, the internet helped me finding a solution.
Upon my return to the city, I found it under heavy attack by Scotia's Dark Army. But my party managed to thwart the assault and find a way to Castle Cimmeria, in which Scotia resides. Of course, it was full of traps, puzzles and exceptional strong monsters. Scotia also had King Richard and tainted the magical barrier which helped to protect him from the poison.
Yet no task was too great for my party of heroes and therefore they could rescue the king and slay the evil witch.

All in all, this is really a very good game which I enjoyed quite much, yet it sometimes shows its age. Not graphically, of course, but the UI, e.g. the inventory, is tedious compared to what one is used nowadays. There is also no option to help the player if he is stuck. Some would call it "holding hands" while other would say "frustrating design" - I am not really sure how to think about it ;-)
Thank you, PaterAlf, for the recommendation!

Congratulations on beating the game! I'm glad that you liked it.

I have to admit that I never completed it myself. When I arrived at King Richard, I noticed that I accidently threw away one of the keys needed to remove the magic barrier. I didn't feel like roaming the lands again just to find it. I think I have to play it again in the future (and maybe play Lands of Lore 2 after that).

Oh boy... that must have hurt. You were bascially just two steps away from completing the game!
You should definitely play it again sometime ;-) But I have heard that Lands of Lore 2 compares poorly to the first game - well, but we should form our own opinion first, shouldn't we? ;-)

Progress update on Return to Castle Wolfenstein:

I've completed mission three and it was the best one so far. There was some diversity in gameplay and level design (stealth mission, time-limit, indoor and outdoor areas) and I really liked that there were no supernatural foes.

Mission four starts good as well with an escorting mission for a tank.
Congratulations. I'm grad you both enjoyed games.

Progress update on Tales of Maj'Eyal.

I've played all classes available at beginning. but almost all died before became level 10.
This game was really difficult as with other rouge-like games.
Finally the summoner was available and this class was quite easy, just summoning 2 monsters and run away :D
But at level 15, my summoner was killed by an underestimated monster. ouch!
To be honest, I'm tired by a lot of game over and start again and again. I think I can't finish this game.
So I will play the game at ease until get bored and then choice another game.

You could play Exploration mode with unlimited lives.
Progress update on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

The only other GTA games I have played are Vice City (extensively, absolutely great game) and GTA V (with a friend, for the story). I didn't play San Andreas back in the day as I wasn't too keen on all that "gangsta"-theme. Actually, this is still something which slightly annoys me about the game, but I can handle it ;-)

So far I have played the first few missions and like the diversity very much. They also do a pretty good job in introducing the player to the different mechanics of the game.
Storywise, you play the character of Carl Johnson (CJ) who was a gang member but left the city five years ago. Now, he has to return for the funeral of his mother, who was apparently killed. Upon his return, you are being framed for the murder of a police officer by some corrupt cops who seemingly have some kind of history with you. The remaining main members of your gang, like Sweet, Ryder or Big Smoke, also do not show much love for you in the beginning - you have to earn their respect and trust first. And then the real game begins!
I played through all of Sweet's and Ryder's available missions, yet some from Big Smoke and OG Loc remain. Some of them were quite annoying for me, especially the one where you had to chase a train using a motorcycle so that Big Smoke could shoot some enemy gang members on the train. I had to restart this one a lot, as he just couldn't hit a thing...

I will certainly not go for 100% in this game, as there is just a whole lot you have to do in order to reach that. Thus, I will consider the game as finished when I have reached the end of the main storyline, if that is OK for you, Bass47. ;-)

Ah, and there was also just a little information I forgot to add to Lands of Lore: I think it took me about 20 hours to beat the game ;-)

Cheers!

Played another level of Return to Castle Wolfenstein and it was another good one. I had to escort a tank and rescue a scientist at the same time. It wasn't very hard to keep them both safe, but once again the level design was really good and I really enjoyed playing. In the same level Nazis with flamethrowers were introduced and they are really dangerous. You should better stay out of their way and kill them fast, if you want to stay alive.

I've also played a little bit of the next level and that seems to be a lot harder. A lot enemies with accurate sniper weapons. So you have to stay behind cover and do accurate shots, before they get into a good position to kill you (which is very bad for me, because I'm lousy at FPS games).

I can't play FPS games for a very long time without a pause though and so I need a second game to play. Please choose a TellTale adventure for me:

- Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space
- Tales of Monkey Island
- The Walking Dead: Season 1
- Puzzle Agent
- The Wolf Among Us
- Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

I am also notoriously bad at FPS games ;-)
For your second game, I suggest The Wolf Among Us, as a friend of mine recommended the comics. Have fun!

I will gladly accept that challenge. I've read the whole Fable series including all spin-offs and I love it. Hope that the game is as good as the comics.
